I take it that This game will be around the 10,000 attendence mark,Even better if a lockout.

so the rovers shirt with tommlinson name and number 28 on the back has a market.

DRFC should be a step in front on Its selling Of the shirt and Ffs dont just have the Club shop as Its only outlet as it could be a mad house in there.

They could miss sales due to shop Been rammed.have sellers Stood at certian points around the turnstyles and approach to KMS,Well before the game ...aka 'working the in'

...and just as important after the game too...aka 'working the out' as every tommlinson fan will be on a massive high after the game and sales should hit Its peak

if i was back in the uk i would have got 500 doncaster rovers/tommlinson scarfs printed up,in red and white with tommlinsons mug shot on both ends Of the scarf

And sold them at 7pounds each and be more Than  happy to drop price to 5pounds a scarf Depending on how sales were going.

I bet my last dollar rovers have not thought about a Much cheaper Option for a doncaster rovers/tommlinson product Than a higher priced football shirt.

Oslo, you're onto something there - if the club don't grab the mantle then some other trader will like you say on the way to and from the ground.

I believe they can't. Rovers own Tomlinson 28 as a trademark I think.

It doesn't stop them at big matches / concerts, etc. all they do is have the main stash just out of the way and keep a few out at a time in case they get challenged.

You could print a scarf with donny rovers/tommlinson
With the mug shot Of tommlinson on it and not break
No trademark rules

As Your scarf says 'donny rovers' not doncaster rovers

you have no chance Of getting a rovers shirt with number 28 and tommlinson on the back as you would
Leave yer sen open

like i said if i was home i would Get scarfs printed up as i think there is a market for the young tommlinson fans who Cant afford the price Of a shirt.

If i got 500 scarfs Made and sold them all i would make
5 pounds on every scarf give or take for say 4 hrs work

Regarding the % of profit for the club , That is between them and me but I can assure you they are more than happy with it.

We've been in contact with the club and they won't just be selling the shirts in the club shop, the will indeed be selling them around the stadium, as well as other merchandise. Let's take these cash-strapped teens for all they've got!

I know that this will sound a bit off the wall, but there is a lot to be learned from TLO Oslo who has spotted and siezed marketing opportunities like this in the past.

I used to work with a guy who followed England all over the world at no or minimal personal cost, he had enamel badges made up for all games and sold them on the day to cover his costs.

When the World Cup was in Japan, he got in touch with a contact in the Rag trade who sourced him "replica" england shirts and had them printed with Owen and Beckham. He paid about £5 a shirt and sold them on the approach to the stadiums mainly to the Japanese for about £25 - £30 each.
By the time the tournament was over and after he had covered his costs, he was around £8k in profit.

Now I know the last example is illegal, but people like him pick up on the opportunities that the big marketing organisations don't look at or consider outside their normal products / services.

Now I appreciate that AVEC will have the rights on the replica kits, but do they also have them on cheap red and white fitted T -shirts that could be printed with 28 Tomlinson? After all the target market are more likely to want these than a replica kit.

Why not seek their advice on these opportunities and ask how they would do it to maximise the payback. The club could hit on a winner or they could say thanks but no thanks.

Big companys or offical products are allways sold from a stand or shop and are over priced to say the least.

They would never think Of selling from a large sports bag and placing Their products   on the Floor infront Of you to sell to whoever.

iam glad they dont tbh.

the english grafters are top draw at selling unofficial
Products outside whatever top sport or music Events Across the world.

some german so called grafters were Stood back watching us selling clobber at England games in germany for the world cup.

They picked up on everything that we did and Even shouted out in english to copy us.

if rovers need any addvice on how to knock out any clobber on the IN and the OUT at street level, just Ask via pm
