£20k a week (give or take) for doing nothing. Wish I could get a job like that.
Still, probably not his fault.
A couple of hours to go yet!

He's watching SSN as well then?  Good to see the DFP don't only get their "stories" from this forum then.  That's what I call investigative journalism!

perhaps they do posted in the Rumour Mill at 7.22pm  (not by me)

Well apparently Southampton's manager, media team etc have gone home so they must have given up on a permanent deal even if Billy's camp haven't.

This is the only possible way we were ever going to have a chance to get him - now we just have to agree how much of his wages we are willing to pay and Roberts your auntie with no b*ll*x! Simples!!

Yeah right! We can but hope, and at least now there is a (Remote) chance, whereas before there was none!

So he's off to derby, Ipswich and boro. Is it a joint ownership deal?

Probably not his fault? Which part could possibly be his fault? He signed a contract, they dont play him. Cut and dry.

My post was more of my opinion, if you could read you should understand that.

The club down the road, who have quietly received extra investment, may now step in with a loan bid if Billy wants a return  home and a drop in leagues.

Not sure he'd want to drop 2 levels, even for the blunts? The loan window could be much more interesting than the transfer window though!

Branton Rover posted:-  Just for info Billy is on £20k+ a week only when he plays, rest of the time he's on £8k weekly.

If the above is the case, would we not be negotiating a deal based on his wages @ £8k per week, cos' he certainly 'aint playing.

rover-n-out,

You would think so wouldn't you, but Brantons figures are wrong, there is no lower figure.

Billy has already turned down a very sizeable figure, not from us I might add.

Can't see Billy going to the Blunts, he wants to play at the highest level possible.

There was also a lot of ill-feeling about the way he was treated there last time as well. He may be a Blunts fan but his spiritual home is probably more the KM nowadays.

That's one Of my points, blades fans now lick his arse but when he was with them he was the scapegoat like paynter was at Leeds. We got his career going again also he might still be stuck on their bench if we didn't get him on loan
