Looks to me as though with his previous he may have got off lightly.

Its a ground ban though, not just a touchline ban, which I believe is only the second time this has ever happened.

Crikey, there is more effing and jeffing in that document than a typical BST post!

I can just imagine the stuffed shirts at the FA reading through that report with their jaws dropping and their monocles popping out, with the occasional "I say!"

"What an absolute bounder, this Ince fellow is"

Interesting reading, though

Dr F,

As it happens I know all 3 of the committee members and I doubt they would struggle with that kind of language. One of them, Dr Malcolm Clarke, is the supporters representative on the FA Council and also the Chair of the FSF.

I think you're right with regard to the professional game, the other one being that charming fellow Steve Evans. There have been several in non-League football though.

I realised that, SM.  I was just considering the notion of the report being passed around a boardroom full of James Robertson Justice types afterwards.  I've got a lot of time for Malcolm Clarke after meeting him a few times many many moons ago

Maybe we should indoctrinate Ince to the Eyeliner-Wearing Managers Club?

Yes I can imagine that too, some of the stories I hear from the council chambers are quite extarordinary.

When Paul Ince pitched up as a player at Manchester United demanding to be called The Guv'nor somebody should've t**tted home there and then and saved a lot of people his bullshit behaviour.

ok ince went Well over the top but every action has a reaction and the
4th offical for sure played his part.

Why on earth did he feal thr need to report ince after he kicked a water bottle which went into an addvert board thrn Flicked up and just about hit a female steward.

Ince went straight to the steward and said sorry, steward accepted incident closed end Of.

But the 4th offical had to make a mountfield out Of a mole Hill and ince lost the plot.

Emotions play a massive part in football both on and off the pitch in the stands.it seems the powers that run football want to drive all emotions out Of the game.when that is done every fcuker will be moaning like fvuk

The point is that Ince had been sent to the stand some time before the incident in the tunnel. Far from calming down (and let's not forget his team won the game!) he then decided to go down and confront the officials in the tunnel at the end of the game. Even then, if he'd satisfied himself with a bit of industrial language, he'd have probably got off with a fine (even with his previous). Shoving the official into a wall and then saying "I'll knock you ******* out you ****" is what got him the ban.

Also, having seen how Ince behaved at the KMS- where his demeanour throughout the game seemed to influence a weak referee- I can only say he got what was coming to him. And I'm guessing that the bottle incident was not the only reason he was sent from the dugout- it was probably the straw that broke the camel's back as far as the referee and the 4th official were concerned.

Oslo,

Maybe, but what would have been the outcome if a supporter had behaved like that?

I guarantee they would have been looking at a custodial sentence and a long banning order as well.

I dont buy into ....what if a supporter had acted like that stance....

For sole reason Its the job Of ince to manage his team and he is allowed to be pitch side.its obvious that his emotions got the better Of him wrong or right.

Ok the bloke is a prick and i have never liked as a player or manager, but i font like to see passion or emotions Been squeezed out Of football,or Been
Controlled by the FA or whoever.

Look at thr sheff weds fans moaning like fcuk because Their manager shows lack Of emotions on the touchline or in the dugout during the game.

Some managers can stand or sit with hands in Their pockets When things are going wrong while others just chew gum as others might kick out at a water bottle, some rant and rave, some are quite as in SOD

Like i said if emotions are controlled that Much i. Football we all will suffer

You can bet your life if the tables were turned between Ince and the 4th official, Ince would have been shouting from the rooftops that the official should be banned from the game and probably play the race card as well

To be fair Oslo, there is a difference between being animated and being a t***. Shame Ince hasn't worked out where that line is.

Never liked the man,

When Paul Ince pitched up as a player at Manchester United demanding to be called The Guv'nor somebody should've t**tted home there and then and saved a lot of people his bullshit behaviour.

I heard he made that nickname up himself too - utter cock.

What did it for me though was in the Euro '96 semi-final penaltys when not only did the 'Gov'nor' not have the bottle to stand up and be counted but he sat in the center circle facing the other way, either unable to watch or more likely attention seeking trying to get noticed by the TV cameras - utter, utter cock.

Agree with that assessment, Mr B, but I do tend to feel here the 4th Official could have exhibited a little common sense and avoided all this.  That doesnt excuse Ince's pottymouth, though.
