Yeah, I know its only the end of October and that there's a good 6 months left, and I'll probably get slated.

... But I reckon we'll be seeing a hell of a lot more performances like this and less of the positive play we saw at the start of the season.

Honeymoon over boys and girls, it's going to be a long, cold winter unless the squad and key positions get filled/covered.

I'll take two poor performances every 12 games. No Wellens, Husband, De Val, Forrester, possibly Macheda. Don't panic Mr Mainwaring! Try growing a backbone.

I will worry when we have 3 or 4 bad performances in a row. Face it, we were poor but Boro were very good and if new manager gets them playing like that each week the play offs will be easily achieved. It was a bad time to play them but hey we live to fight another day and so far I'm remaining positive about this season.

Fickle football fans everywhere.....

went last night.
left s lincs at 3pm. picked up mate derek at Newark. nightmare journey up a1. stop start traffic and touch and go wether we would make it.

#got there 10 mins before ko.

duffy looked promising - as did the Korean lad when he came on.

copps looked lacking in confidence. he had chances to run into space - and chose to throw in long ball crosses instead. chance to volley on goal and put in a percentage header  instead

wellens massively missed in midfield where they dominated.

they had two centre forwards and two wing backs who were willing to take rovers on every time at 50/50 balls

Quinn got crocked in first few mins and was always going to be on the back foot for rest of first half.

bad night at the office where home advantage coupled with lacking confidence and mis-match of tactics played against us.

we will move on

It seemed so deja-vu for me on Friday night. I think many of us felt the same?  :chair:

Not worried just yet plenty of poor teams worse than us.caught playing boro at a bad time always usually happens when they get rid of a manager and it wasn't as though we got beat by another poor side as they looked dangerous and quick going forward.worst thing for me is we have struggled when wellens is not on the pitch.also think need another striker but wouldn't say macheda and as for the teams worse or gonna be around us are Wednesday,Yeovil,Barnsley, millwall, charlton

What worries me slightly is that both Weds and Barnsley are quite likely to sack their managers before too long.
The usual upshot of that is a spike in results for a while which could be bad news for us.

I do think that we can pick up enough point though but it could be a tense season.

Interesting post Vic. Just for reference sake we beat Leicester without Wellens but lost the games either side of that when he did play.

Having just lost part of mine through surgery, the irony is that I still tend to agree with bobbymax. Have the OP and others on here not noticed that we have key players missing and in key positions. It's only the  last two games that the performances have dipped. Forest with their vast resources also conceded 4 goals recently.
Shit happens, poor runs happen in this Division to ALL clubs........now let's not lose perspective eh ?

I see we are doing that bad and struggling that IMF Brighton win today they go top half of table yet if they lose and we beat them on sat  we go above them with also a game in hand, this league is all about how you perform each game
