How much are we missing...

...James Husband?

He's played 9 league matches

Our record when he played: Scored 9, Conceded 12, points 9

He's missed 12
Record
Scored 9, Conceded 25, points 11.

Interesting. Clearly our defence is much more porous without him, but we are still picking up points at the same rate.

Him and Rob Jones are proving how vital they are to the team by not being there.  Both the first two goals would in my opinion have been dealt with by Jonah and Husband would of terrified them with pace down that wing.  How long are they out for? we rally need them back

I'd say we're missing Keegan just as much

Keegan and Jones are the one's we're missing i think. Keegan was excellent and much better alongside Wellen's than Furman is. Jones just for his leadership i think we would tighten up everywhere with him in the team. We've got adequate cover in for Husband Yun and Steven's are okay.

Agree entirely with you lads
It's that spine of the team
And some bite in midfield
January
Can you see us reinforcing. Unfortunately I don't
Never mind onwards and upwards
I hope

What we have is PD's determination to keep at it and he seems to have kept the team spirit in the camp . We have 52% of our season to come and when we get Jones and Husband back , Forrester fully integrated and Wellens signed up... we'll be Ok .

There's an obvious thing that strikes me. Without Husband, Jones and Keegan, we are clearly going to struggle to be tight at the back. It's pretty much inevitable that we're going to leak goals.

Interesting thing is though, that we're still managing to be resilient enough to pick up about a point a game, even with this core of the physical, defensive part of the team absent.

To me, this bodes well. We haven't caved in totally when we might have done we've had three consecutive poor results, but in two of those we've put in good performances against promotion candidates. Get the injured players back in Jan and I suspect we wi stay up with 4-5 points to spare, which would be a fantastic achievement.

I think you have summed it up quite well Billy. At the moment without Jones, Keegan and Husband we are bit to "nice"
We are missing some bite.

When he's fit I can see young James adding some bite on the left of mid-field rather than full back. And when Jones is fit I could see McCullough playing just in front of the back four JMHO
