If SM is in constant contact with the club as he says, maybe he can provide us with some answers?

Now now Captain, you could ring the ticket office or customer relations or reception. It'll only take 2mins

Of course I could do that. But the whole point of appointing SLOs was to provide an additional communication channel.

Furthermore, if you care to read, I did say the club are investigating and I exchanged text messages with the club last night about this.

Don't worry Wellygogs, your sarcasm is noted.

Here's a lucky winner

http://www.doncasterroversfc.co.uk/news/article/barry-secures-season-ticket-for-scratc-1243435.aspx

Mind you he does fit the profile of a DRFC competition  winner.

Long standing STH (check) , Alliance member (check) and of concession age (check).  :saywhat:

What's the chance of the next free season ticket winner being about 9 or 10

... not while there are qualified bods like me ! .... but  I did win the be on the Programme Cover so that's probably my lot !

Knew nowt about any Scratch Cards though so another chance gone begging. It does say in the write up "and for Season Ticket Holders - please ask for one" but we could have perhaps had one sent with a Newsletter instead of it being "there to be found"

Hi Daggers

Sorry yes that was my point. A lot of people complaining about not getting Newsletters etc and I am amongst them

I only found out about the Scratch Cards on here " by accident" so I would have thought they (The Club) could have referenced the Scratch Card idea IN a Newsletter if they sent them

OK I probably would not have won owt but it would have been nice to have the chance .... you have to be in it to win it or so they say

No newsletter here. Got the loyalty card finishing letter.

I hesitate to jump on a  bandwagon, but I was a little disappointed that I only got scratch cards when I had to buy a single ticket on match day as I'd forgotten to bring my season ticket. If it weren't for that then I wouldn't have had the chance to win anything.

The scratchcards we launched in December for Season Ticket Holders and fans buying tickets for upcoming games and events.

The press release is here:

Yes that is a comprehensive answer but what about them actually publicising it better than they have ?

Lots of people on this thread have had issues with communication and most have not received a Newsletter from the Club and in fact some posting have not known of its existence.

I only heard of the Scratchcard offer today via this thread and then looked on DROS and found I COULD have had a chance to win a free Season Ticket just by asking for a Card.. To me that is a PR failure and for the sake of sending a Newsletter mentioning the Scratchcards or even including one would have been a PR win

The Club seem to do this too often ... and again I only found out via VSC about the chance to win England Tickets when buying Stevenage Tickets. It was not mentioned to me today when I went in but at least it seems I am automatically entered in that one

There must still be lots of people who are not on t'Internet and so have no access to DROS and some of those will not (maybe) know of the font of knowledge that is the VSC Forum and so they will all be oblivious to the Scratchcard thing and even the England Tickets and any further upcoming offers and that is a great shame

For the price of a stamp the Club could have generated a real feelgood moment and even if people had lost once they Scratched their Card they would have had more positive thoughts than I and others seem to have at the moment

Donnywolf,

As I've mentioned previously the club seem to be having issues with the newsletter which is handled by an outside agency. They are looking into it and threads of this nature do result in changes somewhere along the line.

We'll do our best to keep forum members up to date with what's happening.

Any chance somebody can answer the original question regarding unused season tickets.  This has desended into an argument about who has and who has not received a newsletter.  An answer to the original question would be nice from the SLO's or SM or in fact an initials.

Cheers for that. At least I know I can chuck it now. This really is poor communication from the club as a whole though!

I appreciate that ... and though I know the Club probably are not doing these things deliberately it still needles people

I also really appreciate that the Forum will be kept up to date but what of the loads of STH's who don't ever look on here ? Probably lots do not know of its existence even and so they are in a Black Hole info wise and so they wont even know that they COULD have won via the Scratchcard competition which is a great shame I think

All Season Ticket Holders should be treated equally and whilst not wanting to second guess what should have been done a different system could surely have been used OR the Scratchcard should have been more effectively publicised.

There is no easy way I guess as Man A probably does not buy a Programme Man B wont buy a Free Press Man C has no Internet and so on so a common denominator is required that reaches all the parts of all the support base effectively

Hi all,

Sorry for not giving a full reply sooner we have been speaking to the club about the points raised in this thread.

Firstly the ST Newsletter, last season it was available for ST holders to pick up from the stadium itself. However this season the club decided to send it out via post before Christmas but as SM has alluded to there have been issues with this.

The club are now aiming to send the ST Newsletter out via email to all Season Ticket holders and as such are running a data capture campaign. So if you don't believe the Ticket Office has your email address or your not sure please email your ST details to tickets@doncasterroversfc.co.uk and put "Season Ticket Holder Email" as the subject.

Loyalty Scheme

The club decided earlier this season to bring the Loyalty Card Scheme to a close and wrote to all those who were taking part, the points collected so far in their balance will be transferred into a monetary value which they can use to claim back on tickets.

If anyone does not believe they have received the letter please either PM us on here or email supporterliaison@doncasterroversfc.co.uk with your details and we will pass this onto the club who will re-write to you.

Thanks

None of our group of five longterm season ticket holders has received newsletters, scratch cards or emails, so it clearly needs looking into.

I will send a couple of emails to the ticket office and SLO now.

I know that our e mail addresses are already logged against our details on the Data base, but we have never received any ST news or any other communication via e mail.
This is really poor.

When can we use unused season tickets to take a friend to a game.  Due to circumstances I can't get to every match but still buy a season ticket and would like the opportunity to take a friend and possible new supporter to a match.  Why can't we do this at every match or this that going to cause an administrative headache.

The answer is, that the club make this available for certain games during the season. They will announce this as and when. In short, it can't be done at every game.
