I don't like the Bit about Jones, yesterday it was said that if the scan was positive he could be recalled for the Blackburn game.
Now he as to see a  neurosurgeon specialist over the next two days to get a full report before they can assess his next steps on the rehab road.  :(

The possibility of him re-appearing at Blackburn was always overly optimistic. Don't forget that Husband has only just resumed full training and he's not yet being considered.

It is quite normal for the scan to be done one day and for the follow-up with the specialist to be done another day, so I don't think we should read anything sinister into that. If the scan is positive, he should be given the go-ahead to resume full training and then should be available for selection by the end of the month.

It does look, though, as if we'll have a much stronger squad available in the weeks to come.

I'm also taking it as a postive that Chris Brown is not included in the ranks of the injured. I was a bit worried about him on Saturday.

If that was me or you TRB i could understand it , but a professional football club with their medical needs.

i would have thought that it could have been sorted in 1 visit.

I'm not optimistic TBH , hope i'm wrong.

You're kidding aren't you?  If you or I go for a scan today, we don't get a follow up for weeks or even months!

I doubt that DRFC use the NHS in these matters.

Anyone else think on khumalo's return we should keep Quinn at CB? Poss move McCullough to full back. I think it would giue us a stronger back 4.

No, it looks likely that we'll sign Meite, so Quinn to RB is the obvious move

McCullough to move into central midfield and take over from Wellens/Furman

I wouldn't go that far but he could be capable of the Keegan role.

Brown, Paynter, Copps, McCombe, Keegan, Husband, Jones all almost back to fitness.  Maybe we don't need too many new singings after all, perhaps the 2 we have funding for will suffice, plus Wellens?

Remember when we went to Bournemouth last season.  Jones out for weeks, ankle problem.  He played, man of the match and played every game until end of season.  These football clubs do bluff a lot. :rtid:

The scanner and the neurosurgeon will be in different locations
It will e mailed and then read and interpreted
And then a decision will made as to a treatment plan

Treatment plan to head as many footballs in a 90 min period as possible starting on Saturday.
Additional notes suggest wearing a full football kit to aid recovery

Yep. Hopefully some fake doctor round the back of Copley Road instead who'll don a white coat and stethoscope, check his hair for nits and tell him he's alright.

Been a while since Rob Jones has been checked for nits I'd guess. 😉
