Nothing has happened, nothing of importance will happen, so it is just the fantasy tittle tattle of t**tter, or bairns on Facebook.

I suppose unfounded allegations could be defamatory, and cause unnecessary worry among fans and suppliers, and carry reputational loss. It will repeat on the paper because they will simply lose any credibility.

Local print publications are in decline across the country, do they really need to press self destruct?

I've got a better idea. Don't buy the s**t-rag and persuade friends, relatives etc to do the same. They obviously think negative stories about Rovers sell papers- prove to them that they do quite the opposite.

I don't and I don't buy the free press any more it's a shadow of what it used to be.  Though they do give Rovers coverage you can't knock that, I think that often they've approached stories from the wrong angle and quite unbalanced.  They clearly don't like to do any digging behind their stories either, which is a shame when other local papers in other areas are quite happy to.
