I have missed a few games at home this season and barely ever sit in my vastly overpriced West Stand Cat A seat because of the morons that sit around me.

Can you let me know which part of the ground you've found to sit in as an alternative that doesn't have any morons? I wouldn't mind trying it out.

I know exactly what someone's hilarious response to this is going to be. Now we just have to wait.

aswell as the freebies handed out wich happens fairly often..

I don't think the club can compete with this sort of thing, do you?

One of the reasons ill not be renewing my st next season. lack of ambition and far to easy to obtain cheaper tickets match by match...

With the exception of the birthday offer most of the offers are aimed at junior supporters so unless you are under 16 in this instance I don't see why it detracts from your season ticket.

I would rather have a stadium that wasn't a third empty that get perceived value for money out of my season ticket. You want ambition, well that comes at a cost and getting more bums on seats will assist that and if the club have to have offers on to get more bums on seats then I am all for it.

basically to cut a long story short...

I go to matches with 2 others... they have managed to go all season up to date without paying more than £10 to get in and on numerous occasions got in without paying a penny so why would I buy a st next year??

when its reported that terry bramall wants us to be a league one club, that doesn't spell out ambition to me.......

How have they managed to get tickets for no more than a tenner for every game?

Purple voucher book for last year had a family of four for £20. The books were sold off at the end of last year for £5 each, and each book had 2 of these vouchers. You were able to use as many vouchers as you wanted... so you could buy your whole seasons worth of home tickets at £10 a pop if you have enough vouchers.

This years has the same offer for £33 i think? so £16 a ticket from now on.

Sshhhh!

What do you mean?

I'm sure the club has allowed and budgeted for these vouchers to be redeemed. If they haven't, and they don't want people to use these vouchers in this way, they simply should have made that the case and put restrictions on their use.

If it is a problem, that shouldn't be transferred onto the voucher holder the point of the vouchers is to receive a discount for a product or a service. If the club has produced vouchers they cant afford to fulfil, its their own stupid fault for producing these vouchers in the first place.

Just because you're a fan of the club doesn't mean you have to blindly throw money at it.

When you buy your season ticket and are told its going to cost you around £350 - do you refuse to pay that amount and tell the club you want to pay £500 instead? come off it......

Fair play to you for using your ingenuity. You'll find no criticism from me. Good on you.

I think the club would have worked out that it would be a minority doing this and they probably chose not to compete with it.

The free tickets for parents is another thing that they only give out x per game. If people want to give them away or sell them then fine, but you can't expect the club to reduce season tickets because of this and reduce the playing budget even more.

Of course not, and like I said if people want to take the risk from game to game of getting it cheaper than the season ticket averages out at, then fine. Personally I'd rather get the season ticket and not have to worry. Plus i get the perks of the same seat every game, guaranteed, priority on away and cup matches, 10% of in shop etc.

Of course another option would be the multi ticket books. You get most of the benefits of a season ticket but still get to choose which games you go to.

Not for the first time, Jenny puts forward her view as a relatively well-off supporter who can afford to pay top dollar for her season ticket and still not attend every game, because she loves the club.

That's great, but some fans are not so well off Jenny so you should guard against coming across as slightly patronising, and consider the views of those fans not as well off as yourself.
