Why do clubs always sack their manager just before we are about to play them?

Who was it that sacked their manager before we played them earlier? Was it Boro? Hopefully it will be that Steve Thompson in the caretaker role on Saturday, I seem to remeber him not doing well the last time he had it.

Yes, checked BBC and Sky, nothing on BBC, Sky say he is having talks. Please check facts before posting, especially for those of us abroad who only have access to the internet.

I should think he'll be quite expensive to sack. And of course if they do sack him they can kiss goodbye to any hope of keeping Tom.

Aye, apparently last week was the first week of the season that nobody in the 72 clubs of the Football League changed managers according to FLS.

They are planning protests against the chairman and manager during the game,if we can get a early goal the crowd will turn on them

Totally agree BPool, the first goal is vital, and Young Ince will find a much more resolute defence than he faced earlier in the season,if i remember right,we were in the game, until we went two one down, chased it and got hit on the break,no reason we can't win,we could do with it,but a point wouldn't be bad.
