Sharps future goals?
« on January 23, 2014, 03:06:21 pm by adamtherover »
looking at the fantastic tribute video of loads of sharps goals on youtube whilst he was here, what struck me was the amount of balls played over the last 2 defenders, with billy running in between and burying it.  For almost the first time this season on satdi, keegs played a sublime ball over the top for browny to finish!!,  Hopefully this style of goal will become commonplace in the upcoming games, much better than relying on set peices...

I noticed that too. Also noticed a couple of other points.

1) I bet Rob Jones is delighted to be playing alongside Billy as I forgot how much he terrorised him at Scunny away.

2) John Oster got a fair amount of assists when playing alongside Billy too. He got stick for not shooting that much but he was class at times.

Spot on Chris

Let's hope Jones and Billy don't get too reacquainted in training.

Yeah I picked up on Oster in there as well. When he was on his game he was brilliant.

Which Billy goal sticks in your memory the most then lads apart from obviously the Boro game. Mine was his header and celebration at Scunny. The roof nearly came off!

I know it's not a proper answer but the brace against Leicester, 2 goals in 2 minutes.

Not strictly a Billy goal but the graft he put in, jinking and turning to work the opening in the box before he crossed for Elliot Ward's fantastic overhead goal at Hillsborough is one of my favourite bits of Billy magic.

That assist and that goal broke many a Deedar's heart. It was then and only then that the Wendies really appreciated that their erstwhile kicking boys from the river Don were very bit a match for them on and off the pitch.
They weren't so massive that night:)
