By the letter of the law they both raised their hands, but these incidents happen so frequently the ref should just have given them both a yellow. Oh wait, Atwell was reffing?

By the letter of the law it is a red card apiece because both raised their hands. Kilkenny deserves no sympathy at all for exaggerating the contact. Bennett deserves some sympathy because he was pushed first and didn't make a meal of it.

Still think a yellow apiece and tell both of them to stop acting like five year olds would be a better way to deal with it.

Just seen that Kilkenny has had his red card rescinded and Bennett has had his ban reduced to one game. Personally I think it should be the other way round. Disgraceful that Kilkenny gets off scot free as he was the instigator and was guilty of the most appalling display of play-acting.
