I thought they'd only got 4100 tickets.

Atmosphere was shocking. Didn't hear a peer from the South Stand.
Seems the interest from the town just isn't there. Sad, but I think it is a fact that is becoming apparent.

We always let the away fans over power us so don't bother to respond. We can never beat the atmosphere when a team like boro turn up

Sounded shocking when Player was working .....I need to get back to games and into the South stand. I warned of this on another thread.
We need to stop competing with each other, sing OUR songs and some of you know who I am talking about. This left side/right side shite and other songs need to be binned quickly. Older supporters WILL join in when they actually know the songs. It's frustrating.

Home crowd today was 7,186 - above average and highest since the Leeds match 6 weeks ago. Hardly the match to prove the town isn't bothered

Its gunna take years of been at this level to build our fan base. Christ we have come a very long way from our 4-5 k at obv. More and more kids are starting to support there home town team as we have a good team to support. Remember we was rubbish for years and lost thousends to Leeds,Sheff wed , united. Thats 3 local teams who have taken match going fans from Doncaster. However the tide is turning imo and more are now following there HOME TOWN TEAM.

Some of their supporters were absolute morons. One threw a flare outside the ground at a few of our fans walking towards the stadium, in view of stewards etc. Nothing done about it, just like nothing done about the flares/smoke bombs in the stadium.

dont like the idea of smoke bombs etc, noticed the Red Faction kids were letting them off in middle of the stand.
I think the majority of Boro today were well behaved and went for a good day out, enjoy a drink and watch some football.

Had a couple of young Donny lads on the bus back to town getting a bit lippy to a young boro kid, then they realised that over half the people on the bus were from Boro and shut up.

Our fans were top top drawer at Blackpool . Away fans seem to disperse all over the ground for home games just like they did at Belle Vue .
SS with the drummer  usually  creates great atmosphere . I wonder if those who moan about our atmosphere ever sing ?

Great points there Red Wizard.

It's always a bit disappointing when we get completely outsung by the opposition fans but I'm used to it now and I try not to let it get to me (although it does....).

I fully expected us to be overwhelmed today so I was prepared for it.
Actually I give credit to the Boro fans for not trotting out the "Your ground's too big for you" song, but I can hardly blame them for the toe-curlingly embarrassing rendition of "Your support is f*****g s**t" because at times, it is.

I hoped we would break the 12,000 figure today and that was my optimistic prediction, but we fell a bit short.

But actually..... Boro can't crow too much because when they were languishing in the nether regions their support was f*****g s**t.
