Bournemouth always seems to be a graveyard for us. Apart from losing 5 - 0 when they had SOD as manager, we lost 7 - 1 in what I'm sure was Bremner's first game in charge?

Odd about Brentford John. I remember the days when we almost never beat them. It seemed like they usually tonked us although I do remember being at Brentford for one Saturday afternoon match when, amazingly, we won 1-0 - the final league game of some then famous referee too.

I've been to Griffin Park three times and seen three wins. Brentford are yet to even score when I've been.

Not entirely certain but I think Billy's first game in charge was a 1-0 home win over Rochdale in December, 1978.
The Bournemouth game came a couple of month's later and, as someone said in another thread, it led to Bremner deciding on a clearout at the end of the season.
