It's over for them isn't it ....?

Both in terms of this world cup and the golden generation.

It's Wayne Rooney's fault Spain are going home early, he gets blame for everything else.

When you consider the World Cup Is used as a market place for players and a chance for big clubs to see what's on offer....what price the Spain squad ?!

Spain look a shadow of their old self. I think they have been sussed out this tournament.
Credit to Netherlands and Chile though. But the Chileans look a very well organised group, very difficult to break down indeed with Medel and Vidal in the middle.

Pmsl however back to the main point . It's not so much that Spain were poor but how good Chile were again. This solid and gifted team are going to take quite some stopping !!

They have worked out a way to stop Spain. Spain's possession and passing accuracy was much much lower than we have come to expect in the last 8 years. They looked completely ineffective up front once again.
The end of a golden generation.

It's interesting to think though that they were never that prolific, didn't they only score something like 8 goals to win the world cup?

Bit of an over reaction by King Juan Carlos, abdicating the following morning! :)
