Former Derby County midfielder James Bailey will sign for Doncaster Rovers today, according to Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis.
Bailey has been training with Doncaster for the past week and has impressed manager Paul Dickov enough to earn a permanent contract.
A graduate of the famed Crewe Alexandra academy, the Gresty Road outfit had hoped to re-sign their former player only to be unable to match his wage demands. For Doncaster Rovers though, Bailey will become their first summer signing having seen a number of key first-teamers leave the club on free transfers.
