France U21 goalkeeper

Called Alphonse Areola apparently.

Which got me thinking. We've had loads of keepers who've looked a bit of a tit, but I can't imagine any British keeper being called Norbert Nipple or Bobby Breast.

They're a funny lot, them French.

The French had a keeper called Dominique Dropsy. Born in '51, so probably played through 70's/80's. Saw it on The Chase last week.

We've had a Fatty Foulkes.I reckon the infamous Ben Dover would make a great Goalies name. :)

In the USA, in the early 70s, when they tried to set up a pro league, there was a keeper called Chuck Farr.

Helps if keepers can fly? Around 76/77 we played Huddersfield in a big game one Friday night. Keepers that night were Peacock and Starling!
