Major problem this, exclusively selling through the shop and online, will lose you sales, when they were sold at Streetwise, just reckon up how many of you got your shirt there, your kids shirt, your dad's,mam's etc.
Then you can see how many shirts you have lost out on selling, a quarter of those fans won't bother buying the shirt because it's too much messing about to come to the ground for it, and when the matches are on, they probably have a bit for food, drink and a programme that's it, massive mistake giving any company exclusivity to your product.

It would help get better crowds if you could get them at your local post office or leisure centre, i am sure they used to do it at our swimming baths.
Supporters need to want to come to games themselves but making it easier doesn't harm things.
Personally think the club could make a few quid running small coaches from local villages, pick up and take back to the village.
I am sure many would use it, and there would be less congestion around the ground, from less cars turning up because many would be using the club coach, the fans save money and the club make money from the coach passengers.

Maybe Sammy. But unless and until you prove it by doing thr research, why would any organisation devote resources to something an unknown somebody is 'sure' about? Resources are a scarce commodity. They limit action. Every time you choose to do something, something else is not done as a direct consequence. So to get anyone interested in this idea, you have to prove that it is worth thinking about and worth devoting resources to rather than to the things already on the CE's list.  Without that, it's pious bs. Sorry mate. I'm not having a go. It could well be a good idea. But the world doesn't work that way.

For a small fanbase like ours, I can't see the point in selling shirts in random places. If a fan truly wants the shirt, they will go the extra mile and go to the clubshop or shop online. The majority of people have access to the internet and are up to speed with online shopping.

I went the other day to town and enquired at the calendar stall near Bhs and Hmv. Enquired about Rovers calendars but in his words 'They(Drfc) don't let him have any to sell.

As I have said it doesn't need "random places"  the Frenchgate is too expensive its that simple, it needs as was mooted maybe a shop trailer that can go to local markets, Gala's and on the pedestrian concourse outside the Frenchgate at Xmas. The average Auntie and Uncle that knows little Johnny is a Rovers supporter will not go to the Keepmoat to buy something however they will buy if walking past.
Sell the calendar bloke half a dozen at cost plus a quid so he can earn his money rrp and see if he wants more,  trouble is Rovers hands are tied!
