It's hard to believe there are at least ten teams worse than us in this league, but it's not so hard to see why Barnsley are where they are; they are terrible - much worse than TLO Gillingham etc.

They played a bunch of kids today, much like they have all season according to their board. Probably the youngest team in the division, in the long run they're building for the future. Another comment from that forum said "we were terrible but only beaten by a wonder strike"

I wish Rovers had their academy prospects that are coming through.

B***er me! To hear them talk you'd think they had been any good in living memory. Same delusions as the Blunts and Fowls.

Don't really know what that lad is on about. Our conference days were neat a decade and a half ago, their 'prem' year nearly 20! We've beaten them consistently since that time. Clown

You're a Barnsley fan so you would be making excuses for them..
It should've been 3-4 nil your lot were dreadful.
1 attempt on target and it was from about 35 yards

Even if I was totally biased Barnsley Fan and drunk as a skunk I could NEVER describe Rovers as Shite and say we (The Tykes) had been "unlucky"

What WOULD have been unlucky was if we (Rovers) had not managed the goal that gave us the 3 points - wonder strike or not. Gat over it Tykes - if we were shite what were you ?

We were far better than them today despite being not quite at our best. No surprise to see that Barnsley fans are deluded.

Was he sent off for doing Tyson or Wellens, I thought Tyson, FL Show(spit) said Wellens.

I think this is the lad referred to last year on this forum by his ex club coach?

If it is and I recall correctly he was at our club but wasn't happy with things and he left for Barnsley.

Missed players in the past Keegan,Henderson,Butler, Rose, Rix etc.  Perhaps the clubs new strategy will help catch more of this quality of local player?

Certainly before symbiotic Barnsley Rovers nick them.

Wasn't that Jerry Yates at Rotherham?

Disagreements about his best position made him leave us and join Rotherham. He was thought very highly of by Paul Wilson. Really frustrating to see Donny lads coming through at TLO Barnsley and Rotherham.

Holgate was solid for Barnsley yesterday, until he let himself down got his marching orders.

I actually had Nyatanga down as man of the match. Very effective and positionally perfect. He was a big reason why the rovers hadn't scored earlier.

Thank you for the correction my memory is not what it was.

At least the club now espouses the right way ahead.

He didn't face the toughest inquiry but our old friend M'Voto had a decent game. Nothing fancy but very dominating. Can see what Dickov was looking at there.

FLS say Wellens, and on the FLS highlights you can see Tyson standing in the penalty area when Wellens is fouled.

BBC report on the internet say Tyson was fouled though,....of course.
