Their owner wants to change the long term structure of the club and the manager didn't fit the model they want. All explained well in the statement.

Why change now when they're enjoying the most success they have had for years? Ridiculous decision to restructure now.

To go to the next level. I like how they plan to use a more mathmatical approach to recruitment. I'm surprised MW didn't want to be part of it if I'm honest.

It's Better Bread , this smacks of a clubs board getting too big for it's boots before it's achieved anything, and destabilising the managers authority at a crucial stage, this will be looked back at as a major mistake.
Southampton got away with it, i don't think they will chances like this for them to get to the premier league don't come along often.

Bet they will really struggle to get back into the play off zone now. Completely bizarre timing even if the plan were actually sensible.

He just wants to implement a structure that he has used successfully elsewhere. Like I said it could be game changing.

That's an interesting read Gazlad, it's a cold and calculated system to adopt, no formula can be 100% accurate when they are relying on humans to do the work of robots.

Too much faith put in computers and stats, why is it important if a player has run eleven miles during the game, if every pass he attempts goes to the opposition.
It p..ses me off that when you read pull outs with the football on, it's a big thing if you have run the furthest, our country is messed up and obsessed with stats.

Barcelona you can't imagine them poring over if a player has run further than Messi.
They judge their players on ability to control a ball and a game and whether they can score goals, stats are useful in moderation, they don't allow for fluctuations of form and just pure bad or good luck.

This is just Moneyball isn't it? Works well in stats based games such as baseball but games that demand creativity? Surely not.

Listened to a interview with Warburton and he wont be out of work for long that's for sure,i like a man who sticks with his principals so good luck to him...That said I cant fault Brentford either..Like us they are a team who just cant compete on a level playing field in the championship they just don't have the money of parachute payments and some big clubs, they are having a great season but it will eventually catch up with them over the next few years.Fair play to them for thinking out the box and been prepared to try a new approach to give them a edge..
