Sam 'call me honest' Allardyce
« on February 22, 2015, 04:18:27 pm by Wiltshire Exile »
The more I listen to, and read the comments of, football managers the more angry I get. This is the latest gem to come out of the mouth of Sam Allardyce after West Ham's draw against Spurs this afternoon:

"I'm not blaming Harry Kane for going down in the box - we should do more of that. We're an honest team and we've only got one penalty this season. We're not getting rewards for our honesty." . So, what I've suspected all along that players are being encouraged to fall over, cheat and win at all costs. What on earth does he mean by "We're not getting rewards for our honesty." So what you're saying, Sam, is that you'd rather win dishonestly? That figures.

Is there anyone in the game that has respect and integrity for our game? Players, managers, coaches, owners, chairmen?............................Thought not" The beautiful game? Don't make me laugh!

It's nowt new though Wilts is it? After he retired Jack Charlton used to talk about the hours they spent on the Leeds Utd training ground with Don Revie making them practise how to foul and how to cheat.

So yes. They're all scum bags, they always have been and they always will be.

Aye, Bob, it is nowt new, is it? I've always had a certain scepticism where the honesty of managers is concerned; it's just a bit strange to hear it from their own mouths.
