I'm sorry to say I can't see anything but a Preston win, probably by 2 or 3 goals.
A point would be an hell of a result for us. I hope we pack our midfield and try and keep possession, and if we do go behind we don't over commit too early. Our full backs will need to concentrate on their defensive work more than they have been.

Can't go with the team that played yesterday will need to play wingers on Tuesday because they are strong on the wings and our fullbacks will need protection, would be great to have Copps back this is the kind of game when we need him.

I think the last time I went was for a 2-2 draw in 1994-95. David Beckham was playing for them and scored direct from a corner. It was, I think, his first senior goal in English football.

Been there a couple of times before that and we lost both. Including on a very hot opening day in August 1984.

I think we last won there on opening day in 2010-11. I missed that one as I had a freebie to the first game at Chesterfield's new gaff.

I was at that one you missed Baroni. A fairly comfortable win for us despite Chris Brown lining up for them along with that Hayes character who had a few good seasons.

Nicwe ground - though the museum wasn't available by then.

Yes, that was the season when we were going well up to New Year. Then the Blunts tapped up SO'D and we went to pieces.

The last time I visited Preston was the 3-1 defeat in 1993.  They still had the plastic pitch (I think they were forced to give it up at the end of that season) and the bounce on the ball was incredible and caught us out on no end of occasions.  I think Steve Prindiville scored for us with a free kick (might be thinking about Northampton away at around the same time).

Anyone know if you can still park at the Fire Station for a fiver?

Once you got through the traffic lights it was a quick run to the motorway from there

won 3-0 in our promotion year 2012/2013 it was easy on a very good pitch considering it was torrential rain all the way there, club just round corner from ground not sue if its a catholic club or conservative club but make away supporters welcome good beer right price,

Think that was Westleys last game in charge? Or was it Saunders?

Westleys last game for us was a 3-1 defeat away at Yeovil!

Listened on the radio and fair play to them it sounded like it was all rovers all game and that Dickov made the right changes at the right time.

There is something niggling me that the football is in someways becoming more SODesque with the patience and not panicking but trying to sit back on a lead as well.

A draw against the gills would still be a good result on sat but need to shore up the increasingly leaky defence of ours abit more

That performance should boosts confidence thoughout the club . PD has certainly learned how to use the subs to change the dynamics of the game .
