20pc of our "supporters" are brain dead cretins. Probably came on board circa 2008 and demand million pound signings every week. They want Dickov out and say so loudly. They also wanted SOD out. And Saunders. And Flynn.

70pc of our supporters are salt of earth, reasonable types. Most probably season ticket holders. Can see logic and necessity of what Dick and Terry are trying to achieve in the long-run, but just do not see after two seasons that Dickov is the man to achieve this. They go to home games these days largely out of duty and with no real enjoyment. Probably also think the "first paragraph" was ill-judged.

I think it depends on expectations which all of ours different.

I have a pretty demanding expectation admittedly but if I could see progress I'd be happy.  I can't see progress and the obvious question is can we do better than Dickov and the point the answer is realistically yes (which it is right now) then he should be moved on.

Yes, but equally you said we could do better than Flynn when he won us the league (picking up the reigns when Saunders left us in 2nd).

We are in the top half of the table and come of the end of the season we will be within 4-5 wins of a play-off place. That isn't the end of the world and gives us a platform to build on next season. Again, if that is what gets you sacked then I'm not sure I'm following the right sport.

Well done Bobby good maths but Again  I am referring to the 20% remarks made. Not this '70/80' that you keep chirping up about. The issue I had was with calling fellow rovers fans brain dead cretins who demand million pound  signings every week because 1) you can't call someone that for having their opinion and 2) have you ever seen a rovers fan demand a million pound signing every week because I certainly haven't.

Umm. 20pc was a conservative estimate btw. These are the "Dick and Terry are worth £800m so they should be piling in even more of their money each season to subsidise in an entirely unrealistic manner my own enjoyment" brigade.

I certainly dont think that 10% of the fan base thinks PD is doing a good job. However I am one of the 10% who belives have seen some decent performances under him, believe that he must see the same shortfallings in the squad that we do, believe that he must talk to the board on a weekly basis about these and what his plans are to rectify them. I wouldn't be disappointed to see him replaced, but I trust other, more well-informed, people's judgement if he is not.

Now I back the club and the board in virtually everything they have done barring the employment of this imposter. But my one big fear is that they don't appear, to my outside view, to be football people. In that I mean, that they don't appear to have a great wealth of football knowledge amongst them. So, they will probably swallow any of the bullshit Dickov sends their way, and think to their limited knowledge that Dickov is doing a good job. I mean they don't even go to all of the games!

Totally respect that opinion Cramby and can easily see why 90% of the fanbase hold it. You dont need to know a great deal about football to know the more the crowds fall the more the board has to make up the shortfall - and Rovers seem to employ a fair few people these days, they must have a decent wage bill to pay each month. The only question they need to ask is 'and what are you going to do to change it?'
