Have to disagree, espeically fact 1. He brought in class players, Macheda, Sharp, Tamas the list goes on.. JOHNSTONE!! Getting the best out of them was another thing though

Having established that he can get good players to come here, I wonder if he is lacking a consistently good influence as a number 2. SOD had the O'Kelly factor, going back to earlier days Clough/Taylor, Shankley/Paisley, maybe if he had had a good co-pilot things would have been different. Someone with more creative (any) tactical ideas. However I think we are way past that speculation now, and a fresh start is needed overall. Don't know where all this support for him is, all around me, who are STH's of many years are saying the same. Its time....

Dickov's argument is that the last preseason is the only one he's had without pantomime. To be fair, the owners really had to give him a shot uncumbered. I'd say they've backed him with signings, and if he doesn't cut it in the next few games he will be replaced.

De Val - failed to deliver expectations
Furman - good worker, chose to leave
Duffy - would have been good in league 1 but he thought he could do better
McCullough - great prospect, great signing
Forrester - potentially our best player
Khumalo (Loan) - great signing, shame he couldn't come back
Turnbull - good shot stopper, not missed though
Wellens - possibly one of if not the best midfielder we have ever had, but aging now and inconsistent
Robinson - glimpses of a good player, but not often enough
Tamas - a bit random, but decent at our level
Macheda (Loan) - quality player, not at his best with us
Sharp (Loan) - fans hero, say no more, didn't get his best second time around
Wabara - OK for L1, another who thought he was better
Meite - solid, seen worse
Neill -good experience but getting on
Stevens (Loan) - OK, seen better
Johnstone (Loan) - excellent keeper, shame we couldn't keep him
Bowery (Loan) - didn't see enough to judge
Yun Suk-Young (Loan) - no comment
Tyson - outstanding, one of the best players last season, and a big threat still
Evina - jury's out, poor start last season, got better, ok for the squad now
Main - got a lot to do, still, but could be a star
Marosi - Seems OK enough as a No 2
Butler - solid, if unspectacular
Bywater - OK, but happy with his replacement
Razak - failed to deliver, a disappointment
Steer (Loan) - looked OK
Ikpeazu (Loan) - didn't want to be here, it seems
Clarke-Harris (Loan) - not enough to judge
Taylor-Sinclair - too early to say
Stuckmann - already proving his worth
Williams - 22 goals last season, says it all
Mackenzie - too early to judge
Chaplow - too early to judge
N'Guessan - ask me when I have seen him play!

So, in summary, PD has signed mostly good players.  Looking at it like that, why the hell can't we be more consistent, injuries aside??

Thank you swinton and idm - looking at this list makes me even more convinced he has an eye for a player but can't get them to perform as a solid, consistent unit! Worrying in all honesty!
