online ticket availability - poss sellout?
« on January 04, 2016, 09:46:51 pm by normal rules »
Looking at the online stand/block/seat availability i reckon there is only 150-200 South Stand tickets left. SW and SE corners both unavailable. East and west Stand limited avail.

Is it poss this could be a sellout? 10,000 home supporters does not seem too big an ask given the recent turnaround in form plus the fact stoke will take up nearly a quarter of the ground.

If you know anyone that is planning to turn up on the day and get in without booking a ticket - you may want to advise them to book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Which made me think - has there ever been an occasion where supporters have been unable to get in at the KM on a matchday? First home game v Leeds?

I think - I may be wrong - that not all available seats are shown online, ie some sections of the blocks are for TO sales?  I dunno, just guessing.

Would be good to get back to regular 10000-12000 crowds, but that would need sustained entertainment and success.

just done some research and there are only three games that might have caused a lockout:

The highest ever attendance at the Keepmoat stadium was 15,001 for the visit of Leeds United.[18] Rovers also achieved attendances of over 14,800 at the Keepmoat Stadium in games against Sheffield Wednesday and Newcastle United.

Just under 12,000 will be there, never a sell out, if the Beatles were playing live, with all the members alive, we would still have seats left!.

But that's not to say it isn't yet sold out, Eastender.

The update from the club last night was 250 tickets left for the East,  300 for the south,  and around 1000 in the West. Those figures no doubt are less now.

If anyone hasn't got theirs yet,  I'd get a wriggle on.

I dunno.  As of last night it would appear that Stoke had around 400 left, add those that RTR reports above and that is around 2000.  If we estimate 1000 spare seats for segregation, corner video screen, and the seats in the SS not sold due to unreserved seating (see SM's explanation) then I would expect a minimum of 12000, given that these numbers are from Monday evening.

Are they opening up the North end of the West? If so there is hope that we can move back to it next year rather than get hit with a Cat A price for our current seats. The only reason they shut it was to get them pesky kids behind the goal ;)

The NW area of the West stand is discouraged due to potential policing costs.  If we have a section of supporters adjacent to the away fans - admittedly in L1 it isn't really such an issue - then the "risks" are higher hence more policing.

At 18:00 people will probably still be in the queue.

Chris,  the phone system was down yesterday. If you need a ticket I'd say do it online or pop to the TO

Ladies & Gents like many poss are unable to get through to the ticket office as it has been extremely busy , due to on-line system being down, but now poss ok the office is taking calls as I got through to Tracey who was very apologetic as she will be assured there would of been fantastic positive remarks made about the service , just as usual be patient just like waiting for a pint at half-time as so many do post big blogs

No Blagging is not the phrase.
I  politely sent a email to ask for a response for waiting time on the phone as I do not drive due to my disability so I could not go down to the shop to purchase one myself , but thanks for your comments , bitching as usual on here , when does it stop.

Will the Northwest be opened for this game. Seems silly if the demand is there and surely the tickets sold will outweigh the policing cost.

The north east will be Stoke not north west.

Basically the west stand that's not used at the minute towards the north.

If demand outweighs available seats they might release more seats in the North West by narrowing the gap between opposing supporters but there's 1300 unsold seats yet.

Looking like it will sell out then with just over 400 tickets left. They may have to consider opening north end of west stand to cater for roll ups on the day

More likely they will announce it has sold out and advise that no tickets are available on the day.

No doubt some cave-dwellers will turn up at 2.45 and expect to get in.
