Us start with, or at least a fair few of them, we wouldn't get them all because it would be over budget maybe. But a lot of players are either youth players, relegated teams potentially, or from the league below, plus there would be outgoings-Keegan, Chaplow, McKenzie, Main, Butler, Taylor-Sinclair, Marosi.
Among this lot is pace, skill, nous, good technical ability, youth and experience, and plenty of options, if the board see this they will need a lay down!.

So in short, a load of players from L2 teams or teams relegated from L1 this season, plus all our loanees from this season near enough?

Terrible recruitment strategy if you ask me.

I know what your saying, but it doesn't really matter where they come from. This squad has goals in it, and we wouldn't let too many in. Aldred is a steady powerful right back, Whitbread experienced, good in the air decent on the floor.
Mendez-Laing for example has goals in him, plenty of pace, Cummings strong guy, good finisher lots of improvement in him. Moncur probably one of the best attacking midfielders in league one, so we would struggle to get him.

Leutwiler massive presence good all round keeper, Tafazolli potential size quick enough, Benning very quick, good distribution and him and Tafazolli have played a part in a very decent mansfield defence.
The loanees we have had Keshi was fantastic, i see no future at Palace for him or Grant at Everton, i know the manager says different, Calder good athlete i think will develop into a good player, Villa probably going down, so he might be released.

I'll give you one thing, you clearly know your background info for wanting these players.

There are some good players in there but if we were to bring in that many players in the summer I'd want some with experience at a higher level, some true leaders for the squad.

Indeed a very good research operation and yes to each BUT I think we have serious problems with the affections of the Board and IF it is true that they are refusing to release funds there is not a prayer  in hell that Donny will survive the drop. Not a Chance  - never mind the hype of Coppinger coming back into side or Alcock ( who is too small for a full back against tall forwards) they all need to get some pride in their wage packet.

Sadly I think we are going down and I firmly believe the owners would be happier there (do not shoot me yet) the crowd base is certainly not good enough for the Championship and has never been so. Let us look at where we the club could survive financially. League one we are also struggling, the price thing I believe has been used to it's limit, the club have used it to their downfall because it is too late and they are showing desperate measures again.

League two wages are lower so the low gates would be of no consequence, the point of a very well performing League two team is far better than a struggling league one team. A team that was second bottom when Ferguson came, steadily got up within the the play offs, then all the talk of the play offs and promotion BUT HANG ON A MINUTE.....If the club go up another financial burden with a lot of players are not being seen as good enough THEN the attitude of the players such as Coppinger why were vying for another year or two contract, certainly not good enough for THe Championship . This has been going on for the last three years, and Ferguson comes in and publically announces there is something wrong in this CLUB (not TEAM) but CLUB and he will sort it. I do not like his 3-5-2 formation because we do not have 3 capable defenders to play that system,,, SOD played 5 in the middle at home in many games and it was seen as defeatist (I do NOT like SOD at all either) 5 in the middle is designed to defend. NOT worked so why not have 5 at the back.

I firmly believe (I do not demand the Board come out and state their case) that certain things are now being put in place, there is talk of this kit company maybe doing more in the club. Ex Leicester City Chairman and one of the club owners who supports I believe Leicester Tigers RC. Well maybe.

I do not know, but the anger and frustration I feel is not healthy. I am like most just stating our case or idea and I assure you many will shoot me before a wall for what I have said but. It matters not if you are at a game, on holiday or living abroad or like me mainly sat infront of a computer watching every move that is made in a game via twitter or BBC. The hype is there, the hurt is there, the anger is there, so we are all in the mix and I sadly suspect that the last game of the season will be another relegation but it will not be the last game that relegates the club it will be the previous 45. You do not get enough points you deserve and quite rightly will go down.

I think the only one of the loanees I'd want to see back is Grant, and he's not been the same player since he got injured in January.

If we go down to L2 then the quality of loans available will be reduced. However we might be able to get more out of our own youngsters at that level.

Strangely enough I think I agree with a lot of this Bally

2 points I would pick up on: firstly, our first season in the Championship we averaged 11500 so the fan base is there. We just needed to kick on from that point onwards. Sensible investment in players.

Secondly, I don't remember us getting that close to the play offs since Fergie came in. Maybe 6 points/11th place was the closest we came?? (No doubt someone will correct me if I'm wrong)

Cummings will go to a Championship club and will cost a fortune.
Tafazolli has really gone down hill since Christmas, not even the better of the two centre halfs at Mansfield. Mal Benning's got potential but League 2 is possibly his level.
Would love to see Keshi back here.

What happens to all the players who are contracted till 2017, Butler, McKenzie, ATS, Keegan, Chaplow, N'Guessen.

They will not walk away from the club unless we pay them off.

Mr Frosts Dad.

I accept your views of course..  It was the fans who were deeming it that the Rovers were near to the play off's Ferguson has since stated that they were near to them. I believe it was the Euphoria of dizziness that clouded people's vision. The crowds were swelled by away fans, possibly a home base of around 8,000 and I think it showed sadly at Brittania, Cardiff and Wembley what the football fans of Donny seem to be fair weather fans, me included but I have other reasons not to go as much these days.

Cheers Campsall.
I knew it was between 11500 and 12000. Maybe you could tell us how many of that average were home fans?? 😄😊
