History books

......will always show Donny prospered under JR. Sadly whatever Bramall and Watson do they be tarred with the people who took Donny back from whence they came. My love of Rovers will never dim but the darkness is now returning. We shone brilliantly for a moment and if only Mills Wellens and the rest had held their nerve we would have achieved greatness. Only failure beckons now. It's cold touch depressing every sinew in my body. F**k it. I'm morbidly depressed at what will now play out, like some hideous Shakespearian play. Seriously f**k

You need to get new history books if they don't show that we prospered under Bramall and Watson also.

Without Bramall & Watson we would never have achieved what we have. JR was fantastic but was mainly just a PR man after we got back in the league.

History books are written by those who won. They rarely look at the flip side or delve deeper into what went on behind the scenes.

at least if we go down we'll have more chance of winning and getting promoted, which is the best feeling no-matter what division you play in.

Said everyone last time we went down from the Championship.

Ryan was one-man-band until 2006 when he brought in the KM2.

He didn't do bad in that 2003-2006 period if you ask most folk...

He found the level he could financially support us on his own pretty quickly though, funnily enough it was mid table L1.

Oh to be there now...

He did great but he said that to take Rovers higher he had to bring in the others. They were his words, he couldn't afford to do it on his own any more.

The Christian Church went through this in the first couple of centuries. Trying to figure out if their man was just a normal, fallible human, or the incorruptible Son of God.

Maybe we need our equivalent of the Council of Nicaea  to establish the True Creed. Then anyone who heretically disagrees can be boiled in oil.

Said everyone last time we went down from the Championship.

And they were correct, it just didn't happen. Nobody said it was guaranteed.

Then likewise it's not guaranteed we'll do any better in L2, is it?
