I bottled asking Colin Cramb for an autograph when he was stood outside the players entrance one game he missed through injury.

Was fortunate enough to meet a few players (Darren Moore included) at my junior teams presentation nights through the early to mid 90's. All really nice, down to earth blokes. Grant Morrow sticks in the memory for his enthusiasm for the game and talking all things Rovers.

I've had a slash next to Chris Beech once in the toilets in the tunnel at OBV. Asked him how his return from injury was going then drifted out because frankly I couldn't care less given he was never going to get into the team ahead of SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!

Not Rovers-related, but I also found myself next to Teddy Sheringham once in a London toilet. Didn't say a word to him because a) England-Netherlands in '96 is one of the highlights of my formative years, and I was star struck and b) because I was trying to focus all my efforts into avoiding stage fright given what I was competing against.

Alan Warboys once came into the bogs in the Ring O' Bells in Swinton as I was buying a packet of johnnies from the vending machine.

Was over the moon to meet my Hero, the great Peter Kitchen  :silly:  Only to have my heart broken when he told my dad he'd handed in a transfer request  :(

I first spoke to Peter in about 2000 when he was a guest of John Ryan's at a match at BV. Great bloke. I was pleased to meet my boyhood idol.

Speaking of talking to footballers in the gents, I once had a chat with Vince Brockie in the bogs in the Social Club. Really nice chap who enjoyed playing for DRFC. Also one of the best penalty takers I ever saw.
