Barry Venison is their director of football.

There's a good enough reason, not to get on the plane, i bet he still has the same haircut, i wonder if he still has the 'beetlejuice like suit', that he had years ago?. Chaplow has played all over, i would think it's more for the lifestyle, how many wouldn't be on the first plane going?.

It's all well and good barracking him, just give the lad a chance.

And if need be, give him a second chance.

That bloke you all call a club legend, James Coppinger, don't forget he was pony in his first 18 months or so.

Not saying N'Guessan will become a legend, just support the kid - good or bad football ability he'll be one of those trying to get you promoted in the next year or so.

Good point Rigo.

Oh, except for 2 things.

1) Coppinger was a young player on the up when he joined us, not an old hand with a career-full of unrealised potential behind him.

2) Coppinger wasn't shit for the first 18 months. He slotted in immediately and looked a better winger than McIndoe. And he got 11 assists in his first season with us.

Apart from that, I'm with you.

How anybody can think the toe has any future here with us is beyond me..He's finished and that's with any league club..Like has been said it's very very rare when a player has been on such a downward spiral has him, at a number of clubs that they ever come back....
He has never been available to play, and in the brief periods he was he was so unfit he couldn't even be considered...He's deadwood Rigo end of story...I suspect even he knows it himself.....We haven't come to a agreement with him to terminate his contract,is that because he realises nobody will ever give him another one I wonder????

You don't call him a club legend? You must have some tough criteria.

I don't remember Coppinger as being terrible in his first season. I do remember him as frustratingly failing to score during his first season, and being in and out of the team; though it was still clear, from his general performances, why Penney had signed him to fill the Tierney / Melligan void.

I've not seen anything from N'Guessen since he joined Rovers to suggest that he brings anything to the team - not even a glimmer. I hope I'm proved wrong, but I doubt that I will be.

That guy. Jesus. We are days away from new season and still have him on the books. Surprisingly no takers.
If prospective buyers for some of our players looked on this forum they would never buy any of our cast-offs.

It was clear from the first month of 2004/05 that we had signed a player who had the potential to be better than McIndoe. I said so on the forerunner of this site at the time.

Coppinger's class was evident from around 15 minutes into his debut in a friendly.

There's no need to feed the troll on this one. Coppinger's record speaks for itself.

Get behind a player who has made 8 (shit) appearances and has spent most of his time out with a bad toe.

But don't call someone a legend who has given 12 years of service and was an integral part of one of the best and most exciting spells in the club's history.

Logic.

Come on pic, it's Rigo's ramblings we're talking about here.  I say ramblings because I'm not prepared to credit him with the wit to simply be trolling with the incessant bollox he spouts on here.

Then I suppose if Dany does leave the club this summer, all I'll be able to say is thanks for the memories.

That match where he came on with 15 minutes to go and had been caught offside 12 times before the match finished is up there with Coppinger's hat-trick in the play-off semi final for me.

I seem to remember in one of his final games Dany The Toe missed a sitter which could have earned us a point against Scunny. I might even have had some positive memories of him if he'd put that one away.

It has been known for players to recover from injuries, and come back and start delivering, he will just have to toe the line, and put the work in.
