Saddo that I am I did an analysis of the 113 tweets sent out from the DRFC Official account since last Monday.

Breakdown as follows:
Football (inc ticket info) 91
Answers to queries 8
Rugby League  4
Weldricks 3
Other sponsors 3
Fake Festival 2
Lottery 1
Recruitment 1.

Still, nothing like people blowing things out of proportion, is there?

and I haven't had any of them and yes my email is on the system

You won't unless you are on Twitter.

argh just goes to prove social media is not the be all and end all  something that the media dept seems to have forgot the last year or two

Eyesight not what it was, Bob? Perhaps you should tweet DRFC and see what our well trained and award winning pharmacists recommend.

I'll take my medical advice from Donny Rovers twitter and their award winning pharmacists, not someone on an Internet forum.

Kin ell TRB. Can I marry you?

Sorry, BST. I think you'd find me too right-wing and too frivolous. But I'm pleased we've reached broadly the same conclusions.

It does piss me off when good people who work hard for our club are slagged off. If you've got constructive criticism, fine. I'm sure they will be happy to listen and take it on board.

Oh I don't know. I've had a thing about frivolous right-wingers ever since John Buckley.

You should. You're missing out on all Corbyns best stuff.

That's why he comes across so crap then, his best stuff should be in everybody's face not hidden away where people won't see it...

Frosty

I was worried after reading what you and Wesley wrote, so I've just had a look at the RoversTwitter feed.

13 out of the last 100 tweets have been about non-Rovers stuff. 7 of those were about the RLF Cup semi, two were about Fake Festival, one was about the Belles, one about Club Doncaster, one about the Dons and one was a Welldricks re-tweet.

I'm now going to write to the lead singer of Echo & The Bunnymen.

Dear Mr Echo...

Cantley.

Got it in one. I would write to my MP but all the Labour MPs are too busy dealing with trolling from young Wesley and the "kinder style of politics" gang.

They find time to attack the leader of their own party and patronise young activists of the party so I wouldn't worry about them finding time to help you with their enquiries.

So after what feels like a long time I return to the forum and notice a few things are still constant:

A) Filo is allowed to voice his opinion and any question of that by Sad is deleted immediately by the powers that be.

B) After being on the losing side of 2 General Elections and an EU Referendum, BST and Glyn seem to be coming across as very bitter with another loss looking likely at the pending Leadership campaign within their own party.

C) Frosty is the king of marketing/media expertise and DRFC would do well to pay him to give them the advice he shares on a forum for free.

D) Daggers doesn't use social media and that is in itself a fact that the club's media department are not good enough.

E) Rigo is trying to come across as the voice of reason, but no matter how many reasoned opinions he puts across, everyone brushes over his posts thinking "Kitson."

Just because I didn't vote for the winning side in any election/referendum it doesn't mean I should stop having my own view; I've been on the losing side so many times I've grown out of getting mardy about it. As for the Labour leadership election - I don't want the party to split in two but I think it's inevitable given how things stand at the moment. Nobody is going to 'win'.

Sometimes his opinions are reasoned, but often Rigo does not answer straightforward questions.  I have nowt personal against him but sometimes his post are far from being the voice of reason.

I couldn't care less what 99% of people on this forum think about me.

You seem very keen to point out you don't care what people think about you. In my experience those that put up such a big show of nonchalance are the ones most damaged and craving acceptance.

But I'm sure thats not the case with you, Rigo.

But anyway, I'll say it again. Some of you lot are misguided in having a pop at the media department with regards to these 'tweets' or Facebook posts. They'll have been told, at some point by their bosses (or possibly indirectly through Commercial), to promote companies who are effectively supporting the club. They'll have actioned that by setting Tweets/Posts to go out at certain times, or by doing it manually.

If you don't like it, go and have a whinge to the directors, Chief Executive, about it and see how much they give a toss!

Irrespective of whether you think the media department is good/bad, they're doing their best under pressure, working long hours, and probably not paid the wages for the amount of hours their job entails.

Give them a break, instead of being gobby about them doing a facet of their job which they probably don't care much for, either.

Funny how those criticising the most are the same lot, mainly, who got their knickers in a right old twist about Louis Tomlinson's kit design.

You clearly know very little about sales and marketing

Personally the odd one or two quotes about a Weldrick's Pharmacy doesn't really concern me, there were a couple that were worded dodgy that weren't making clear it was on behalf of Weldrick's but I raised those concerns with the people at the club directly and I believe they took those points on board.

Knowing 1 or 2 personally I do share your view about a lot of this being acting on instruction, and whilst the football industry jobs don't usually pay what they should and lead to unsuitable people being employed in the job (such as at Mansfield) - that doesn't excuse them from criticism.

But as you know this is all subjective, personally I don't have a major issue with our social media policy, but if people get their kicks by having a pop at them if they feel they aren't doing a great job then who am I to knock their criticisms?

Surely sad, has the right to post, and it be seen on here?. The page doesn't belong to anybody, sad is a fan, we are all equal on here, wrong if it's true, and needs rectifying, you can't be censoring out things you don't like, unless it's libelous or insulting.
