I don't think he has been injury prone overall for us. At times he has been one of the few senior players available. He is just having a bad spell where if he had been like others and rested up, he wouldn't be in this situation.
As much as a few don't rate him, i don't think his commitment is ever doubted. I just think maybe putting the club before himself with injuries he has been carrying, has caught up with him.
It's normal for one injury to happen and then an inbalance creates another injury. For this league he might just come in handy for us at some point.

The thing is that before signing players they should have to pass a medical.

Now I don't know how we could sign an injured Mcsheffrey, or Toe Man Dany, without having established that they arrive at the club in good condition.

We might have chosen to go ahead anyway, but it is surely buyer beware in that case.

I think your opinions can be prejudiced on whether you thought they were good signings to start with..

In Mcsheffrey's case I thought he was worth it last year when we were trying to stay up but felt we could have done a lot better than a ageing player like him...So it annoys me that a player who will only be here a year is injured from the start...the value we get is limited...

As for the toe, obviously this is a long term thing that has been badly dealt with elsewhere so you have to question the medical procedure and the safeguards on the contract..

Baudry is another who passes a scan/medical,starts training and then is diagnosed with a bit of bone jamming his achilies.Maybe we do the scans with one of those phone x-ray apps you can download from the app store...lol
