We had 56% possession against 44%

We had 16 shots against 6.
We had 7 shots on target against 4.

We should have won today. The best attacking players were playing today, no better injured or on the bench. So they must improve.

Fergie has form for dropping keepers after a loss though doesn't he.

Will he drop any of the attacking players having failed to take chances, you can't do one without the other.

Again giving away late goals when we should be seeing the game out and taking the point

No we should have been going for the win.. Which we were..

And now currently we have f**k all, a point is better than nowt

COYR

And now we have nowt, should have seen it out when we pulled it back late on. A point is better than f**k all every day of the week

COYR

But the situation is asymmetric since the introduction of 3 points per win. If you go for a late winner from an equal score late in a match on 10 occasions and lose 5 matches and win 5 you will have 5 points more than if you draw all 10. I would rather win and lose a few than draw them all.

Fair enough Dickos, it was after a draw but following a defeat.
Etheridge took blame for goals in both games.

Also, Stuckman was on the end of such a decision wasn't he.

I don't think he should be dropped.
Dickos must have thought Fergie might do so though because it was him who brought the subject up.
I just added that Ferguson has form in that area.

Marosi shouldn't be dropped. The first goal was down to Evina and Wright. Not sure about the second but it came from a free header at the back post.

Marosi made a couple of good saves. One was very good indeed.

But who says we will win 5 games, take the point when you have it and don't throw it away. That point may be important come the end of the season.

We equalised with around 10 mins to go in a game we had dominated both possession and chances.  Of course we should be going for the win!

I was at the wrong end of our terrace to see much of their second. Seemed to go under Marosi and I don't think he did a lot wrong. For their first he had no chance.

I just watched the Ch5 goals programme - for their second the Crewe player got a slight touch/deflection to the original shot.  That is what beat Marosi.

I'm sorry but at 1-1 with 8-10 mins to go in a game we are dominating, after a 4 match winning run and being in the top 3 early in the season, we should go for the win.

That doesn't mean we should be careless in defence mind..  However their second took a big deflection.

By the way, going more defensive is not always a guarrantee of not losing the match. How many times have we seen Rovers (or other teams) sit back and then concede anyway.

I guess we will just have to agree to differ in opinions Glos

I don't necessarily think we should have sat back after we levelled but i do think we shouldn't have gone gung ho for the win.
A bit of consolidation after we scored so we didn't concede and we still might have gone on to win the game but would have been less likely to lose it.
The radio commentators mentioned that it was likely to bite us in the bum and they were proven to be right.
