Looks like he will be appointed manager of Grimsby Town next week. Huge loss to Solihull Moors - although they only have themselves to blame for not giving him a decent contract.

I think he will be a big success. I would have liked us to at least interview him when we appointed DF. What he's achieved with the Moors has been staggering.

Hopefully he will sign off with a win in the FA Cup at Yeovil today.

Hopefully, his departure means Solihull will be easy pickings for Barrow in a couple of weeks.

Hopefully not!

Seconded TRB. I saw Barrow about 6 weeks back. An unpleasant team playing unpleasant football. Why anyone would want them to do well is completely mystifying.

Ok. Thanks Rigo. We know what you're made of now then. Artistry passes you by. Prosaic and results driven. There's places that sort could do well. I expect you admire Graham Taylor and John Beck then?

Cheers

I remember you mentioning him. He is working his way up the Grimsby job isn't an easy one. If he makes a success of that then his next stop might be the championship.

I trust that you're not claiming copyright for that quotation, Paul?  :)

And if it wasn't Cloughie, the only other person it could have been would be Bill Shankly :)
