Nice to see Rovers Finally scoring a "quickie" but my memory tells me Rovers have been DONE by 2 quickly taken free kicks in the last 2/3 years pre Fergie

anyone remember which teams dunnit

maybe Crewe for one ?

and i have a vague recollection of Yeovil doing it at Belle Vue in the Conference days maybe in that 4-0

Cotterill took one against Oldham the year we won the league and scored with it, Dickov went ballistic.

Yesterday's quick f k was helped vastly by the Cheltenham number 33 arguing with linesman that Donny player put his head down and almost lost it. But then you should always play to the whistle.

Remember Dave Cusack scoring quick free-kicks whilst the goalie was still lining up the wall.

Nice to see the ref let it go...we get so used to the refs pulling those back.

Yes Mush, when Copps played the ball to Blair my first reaction was to look at the ref to see if he was going to stop the play to re take the free kick.

Talking of quick free kicks, had to laugh when they had one, tried to belt it at Mason to get him booked for not retreating but he missed and it just sailed straight through to Lawlor. Classic.

Also, I remember once against Wednesday at Belle Vue, Andy Warrington gave away a free kick. While protesting to the ref he just gave it to the Wednesday forward who took it quickly and they scored into an empty net. Think we lost 4-0 and Kenwyne Jones destroyed us.
