Barnes was okay but the one thing he was utterly terrible at was shooting. My god, he was bad at that. But overall not a waster in my view.

He could've been so much better if it weren't for injuries..a shame really.
I never realised he actually served two weeks in prison earlier in his career for a nightclub punchup.

Brooker is married to a lass with whom Mrs. F went to school in Wickersley so no surprise there.

I think it's harsh to include him and Stuart Elliot on the list. No lack of effort from either player just unlucky with injuries and the like.

When Brooker came on at Vicarage road and turned the game on its head, scoring with (IIRC) his second touch for the club it was one of the highlights of the season. Likewise when he scored against Leicester. If he wasn't made of blu-tack and dust he would've been a great player for us.

As for Elliot; anyone else recall the time he was booked at Selhurst Park for having the audacity to be taken out knee high? Until Pompey that was the worst refereeing performance I'd ever seen.
