Why does the club think season ticket holders want him to sign a shirt for us? Make it Coppinger and I'll be interested.

Obviously aimed at teenage girls , rather than hard core footie fans.
but no bad thing - more interest and publicity.

Perhaps if he was from a 70's boy band it would be better

Anything LT that is connected to DRFC is a positive posative posative for the club and LT himself I hope.

Now his band split up and LT is digging out a solo singing career DRFC and all it's fans will be far better off if LT makes a massive success with his new direction .

This is completely inaccurate, he literally is a Man Utd fan.

This is a fair criticism because the prizes to do with Louis are being offered to Silver members, i.e. fans who attend games regularly and are unlikely to want 1D signatures. The upside is of course that the winner may have a daughter/niece who would love the piece of memorabilia.

Thing is though, as a Silver member am I in this prize draw? Cos it's a waste of time if so, if I won an LT signed shirt I'd tell them to re-draw it as I've no interest in it and no young family members who would want it. And I'm not a dick so I'd not stick it straight on ebay although that would be my best financial option in the event of winning it.

Strange isn't it? I'm certainly not doubting you mate but over the past few years I've seen/heard claims that LT was a Leeds, Man U, Liverpool, Wednesday fan! My niece was in the year above him at school and mentioned a few times that he was a Rovers fan long before he had any connection with the club, so who knows!

I went to school with him myself in sixth form, the same time he ended up on X Factor, and back then he was 100% a Man Utd fan who also sometimes bothered with Rovers. There's plenty of people who treat football that way nowadays (I myself am also an Everton fan due to family, but Rovers comes first every time by a country mile) but when I knee him, LT wasn't what I'd call a 'proper' Rovers supporter.

He has filmed part of his new music video at the Keepmoat, surely if he supported Man U, Pool or anyone else that wouldnt be the case.

Good bit of PR, I'm sure they'll be some young girls that are Silver Members that would love to win the shirt. A lot would/should like to win it for the money it would fetch on ebay too

Because selling it when it was put up as a prize is a dick move? It should be won by someone who will appreciate it (or be able to give it to a loved one who will), simple.

I don't believe I even went on a rant at all so agree to disagree on your last point.

Yeah, this is typical of these guys who deep down are really Man Utd fans, but they daren't admit it and would rather pretend to the world they are Donny Rovers fans. It's just about jumping on the Rovers bandwagon and glory hunting.

Oh, wait......

I'd sell the shirt too. I have no use for it, nor would I wear it. Maybe they should fix the draw so the 6 shirts go to the 1D fans. Like I mentioned earlier if it was signed by Coppinger I'd prefer that, a Doncaster player signing a Doncaster shirt not just another fan who I don't care for.

Who cares how much he really is a Rovers fan...It's rare a club has the opportunity to link itself with a global superstar and he seems happy to let Rovers get involved with his name so fair play and we would be silly to not take advantage...Wether we would want it or not one things for sure,a signed Tomlinson shirt will fetch many times more than a signed Copps one...Sorry Copps

Maybe he needs to do a song with my lad who is a season ticket holder and did the RTID music. He's come on a bit since then.
The Supras will write it he can sing it.
