Walked across town fields a couple of weeks ago. I was having a little reminisce about playing rugby for hall cross on there. The posts were in a terrible state. Rusty dilapidated and in one case falling down. The council don't care about sports facilities in the town.

I doubt they've done much to maintain those rugby fields / posts since I was playing there during my school days some 7-8 years ago. Completely right that the council aren't bothered about the town's sports facilities.

That has just got to be a joke! Nobody marks up pitches that bad not even the council.

I was at DGS in the 60's and my blossoming rugby career came to an abrupt end there
