Keegan Signs for Waterford

A good signing for them as he is reunited with his former boss at bohes Pat Fenlon.  They're currently top of the first division (2nd tier) and should be promoted barring a disastrous slump.

He will be able to reminisce with Alfie Hale now.

Usual guff spouted when a player joins a new club:

“I’m looking forward to .............playing games and helping to contribute to the team continuing to win games...........

“The challenge of Waterford excites me............."

What would you like players to say?

I was desperate to play football, I didn't fancy working for a living.

How about: " I decided to join Waterford because they offered me the most money"?

Be honest for crying out loud, that's all we ask!

If you went for a job interview and they asked what attracts you to the job, would you just say its just the money or would you speak about the company?

Job Interview for a train driver:

Q. "Tell me, Sir, why have you applied for this job?"

A. " Because I want to drive trains as fast as I can."

A gormless answer? Of course it is.......but no dafter than footballers saying that they have signed for a particular club in order to play football and win matches!

I'm just really glad he's fit and playing because he sure did nothing for us the last three years he was here

He is not the only Rovers player to leave for Waterford............there was Uncle Martin for a start

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Ferguson_(footballer)

Of course there have probably been others as well. BTW Alfie Hale went first to Newport in part of the player plus cash deal which brought Laurie Sheffield to DRFC.

Good luck Paul, and maybe like Uncle Martin and Alfie, a stepping stone into management?

Best of luck to Keegs, when fit he was a good player for us,did the "harder, less pleasing graft" which sometimes goes unnoticed by alot of people.. A very good servant to the club too.

When he is fit and with a run of games I would imagine he will be one of the best players in Ireland again.
Nice to see him grab a goal on his debut! He doesn't get many.
