Why can't Rovers do this
« on July 17, 2017, 08:04:06 pm by South East Rover »
Derby County supporters will be able to follow all of the action from Tuesday night’s friendly-double header against Doncaster Rovers and Port Vale on RamsTV.

Manager Gary Rowett will split his first-team squad and send one group to the Keepmoat Stadium, while the other will travel to Vale Park (both 7:45pm kick-offs).

The thinking behind the decision is to give as many players as possible the opportunity to get 90 minutes under their belts, with the 2017/18 season-opener at Sunderland on Friday 4th August fast approaching.

The Port Vale game will be RamsTV’s featured match and will be streamed live and for free on dcfc.co.uk, but it will also include all the key moments, goals and updates from the Doncaster friendly as they happen.

The RamsTV Matchday Live show will kick off at 7:15pm and RamsTV host Colin Gibson will be joined in the studio by former Derby defender and club ambassador Michael Johnson.

The pair will talk supporters through all the pre-match news from the Derby camp, as well as half-time and post-game analysis from both matches.

The live stream will once again be available FREE of charge for those inside and outside the UK, but supporters must register an account on dcfc.co.uk to be able to watch the match.

You can register an account here: dcfc.co.uk/customer/register.

The live stream will be available in the dcfc.co.uk Match Centre, which can be accessed on the website homepage.

I think you can watch on Rams Tv

I wonder how many that will knock off the crowd on Tuesday?

Because we're a small L1 team with limited support and a tight budget.

Only a handful of Rovers fans would want to watch a friendly online and even fewer would be willing to pay for it, better to spend money where it matters - on the team.

I'd have thought broadcasting friendlies would have been a good test for the new live streaming Rovers Player package for us expats.

And as we are advertising for a media manager we may not have anyone capable of providing the service.
