Fergie stated that those who aren't prepared to leave are hampering him bringing in fresh faces. Mixed feelings on this as clearly he's taking about Middleton as Evina, Lund and others have left. I can't imagine Harry is on that much to make such a significant difference.

The kid wants to get out to another club and play.Someone like Chesterfield(a decent club to play for)would be the making of him.
He is a good footballer, who has taken stick here when not being as bad as other players have been in other games(especially at the end of the season)and who seem to avoid the critics on here.
I dont like the public get out of here attitude publicised in the Free Press by Fergie,I always thought that we were a better club than that, who although a small club, were big on keeping things in house, and treat players well whether they are in the first team or not.
I dont see us as a rest home, but there are ways of doing things, and for the first time I am disappointed in the way Fergie has gone about this.

Think there was an article in the Free Press where he mentioned Middleton specifically (I saw it on Liam Hoden's twitter feed). He wasn't necessarily criticising HM, just saying his advisors weren't doing enough and they need torealise he isn't in DF's plans.

League 2 clubs have to see the same skills that you see, I'm not sure they do.
They have to pay his wages.
He couldn't get consistently in our league 2 side.

So if the all round package was good he would have been picked up.
Maybe when we gave him a contract extension his league 1 wages, which he will be back on? are larger than clubs want to pay.

Therefore if he has not gone before the window ends, then a loan to a National League side is an option

Steve,we gave him the contract,he can always sit on his backside for a season like Keaganand Evina then move when it suits him.
I would hope and expect him not to do that, but the club can help, but talking like Fergie has in public does nobody any good.

I think there is blame on both sides but to be fair to Fergie he thought Middleton would progress but instead went backwards, and he hasn't got enough pace and mobility about him, although a decent passer of the ball when given time.

Well move,we have some poor players then, because today with Wright and Marosi and Butler he was one of a few who looked anything like a league player.

I thought Middleton was decent for 20 minutes today and then pretty woeful for the rest of the game. Tough circumstances with 10 men and a lot of youth around him but he did nothing to warrant a rethink for me.

Im not a big fan but it cant be easy for him. Cant imagine this summer's events have helped his confidence.

Hope that he can find a new club, not just for us and the budget, but him too.
