Bad news according to DF. Going to see a specialist. It's a back issue.

Can all these injuries really just be down to bad luck?

In my eyes, no. I have said, and thought, for a while that there is something behind this.

I wonder if the surface we play and train on is causing an issue. Might be in my head but its since we moved to KMS, and made changes to Cantley Park, that we are seeing this year-on-year injury problem.

The only year i can think of when it wasnt a big issue was under Dean S and his fitness guy Mal Purchase.

Just my view!!!

Spondylosis is a degenerative disease usually associated with age so KM pitch or Cantley park is an unlikely cause.

If it's spondylosis, with him being young it is treatable so there's no way at this stage you could put a timeframe on it. Whatever kind of spinal issue it is (could even be sciatica) then I think the specialists should be able to treat it, possibly without surgical intervention. Too early to judge.

If it's that bad why wasn't it picked up on his medical?

Not seen that Gaz. Where does it say its bad news? All I've seen is that it needs further assessment.
I dont know how some of you can diagnose the problem without having full kowledge of the medical report!!

The FP quoted Fergie saying "it's not looking good" or something along those lines.

If DF says 4 months then expect AK to miss the whole season.

Some of us are bound to wonder whether there is something wrong with the pitch with the epidemic of injuries we've had over the years. It sounds like with this fella it's just a weakness that was already ongoing better for him to take time out and get it right than play through it and it end up a longer lay-off. Disappointing for us all because i think most of us were looking forward to seeing him the most out of the signings.

If he had an ongoing problem we need to question who did the medical, hope it wasn't Steve Brooker's doctor
Hopefully be back soon and lighting up L1

Since we signed him the only time AK has been on the pitch was to take a picture.

We had real expectations when we signed this lad but what have we signed - another injury prone footballer who will spend more time on the injured list than actually playing football!!!!
Makes you wonder how the hell he passed his pre-signing medical.

I'm guessing he got the injury after passing a medical?? It's not rocket science

Saw him at Cantley on the first day back training and he was the quickest on the pitch. Certainly, over 50 yards.

You're sounding like George Carter here. A player getting one injury doesn't make him injury prone.

We will see - time and football matches will be the measure of what we have signed. I really hope that the injury is a 'sudden flare up' and the lad will prove his worth and show us his obvious talent and pace.
