We are going to go to a tournament with a keeper that shouldn’t be playing. Not good enough Hart.

What has Hart done wrong tonight?

Not a lot wrong tonight and he actually made a couple of saves but he's definitely not good enough, I personally don't think he is even one of the top 5 keepers we have. Butland should be getting the experience in these games.

Set up all wrong for tonight as well - I can't believe he thinks we need Henderson AND Dier at home against someone like Slovenia. The saddest thing is though that I'm not sure who merits a place in central midfield ahead of them - Alli would be a bit more box to box but is more of a number 10 and Drinkwater might be in with a shout if fit. Slim pickings indeed.

On a more positive note it was a great cross by Walker for the goal!

So if there is no one ahead of Henderson and Dier then Southgate has little choice other than to play them both.

Too many foreign players in the PL so our young players don't get the chance to play.

Totally agree with that. Until it gets addressed, England will continue to under perform at international level. A quota system of 3 English players in every starting line up would give us 60 players to choose from. We wouldn't have to rely on the Hendersons of this world. He gave the ball away so many times tonight - 3 / 10

Well no, I still wouldn't play them together in a match like this. Slovenia's players all say off them but they never tried to make a defence splitting pass or even run forward with the ball particulary, their first thought was keeping possession. With the squad last night I'd have played Ox alongside Henderson and had Lingard involved from the start - even though the Ox is in poor form he's still willing to move with the ball or try a telling pass.

Southgate should look at himself and say am i good enough to manage England like Keegan did and the answer would be no.2 matches picks 4 goalkeepers, less than a year to go cant even name a captain.Henderson and Dier only 2nd rate but gauranteed a place.Should look at players away from the top tier and see what might happen. What as happened to Walcott plays and scores far better option than Oxide

I wouldn't watch England if they played at the keepmoat and had a free ticket....Seriously I wouldn't....To me he said it all when he was practically boasting that when he was set on his target was to qualify so he had succeeded..A perfect FA yes man....Jesus any of us would need flogging if we couldn't have got us out of that group....We all know the script now...A few games against continental sides and then get knocked out early before your Panini stickers have dried in your album...
He should have looked up into the stands and seen just how many empty seats there were and that the people who were there THIS time were that bored they were making paper airplanes and be nothing short of embarrassed with the product he's offering....

Looking at the poor crowd last night, I think it's time to take England around the Country. The FA should realise there is a world beyong London, Londoners can't and don't fill Stadiums

Anyone come to the asumption and mind set that the FA gave up its best chance of moving England's play / results  on the pitch up to higher level after they dumped big Sam ?

It was a great goal by Kane ,but surely Kane can't carry this team on his own to a semi of final games in the USSR .

I like the idea of moving around the country, think it worked well when Wembley was being built, but the reason for low crowds lately is nothing to do with Londoners not filling the stadium, it's the fact that no-one wants to watch the dirge that is being served up at the moment. I only had it on my ipad last night in the background whilst I was doing some work and I still turned it off because  I was bored!

The attendance was still over 61,000. There is only one other ground in the country can hold more than that so moving it away from Wembley won't get bigger crowds. I do think it is something they should do though, a full 40 - 50,000 ground looks a lot better and offers more of an atmosphere than a two thirds empty 90,000 stadium and offers more opportunity for people to see the national team. Doubt it will ever happen though, they will play every game possible at Wembley in an attempt to get the money back from building it!

why inflict the punishment of watching England on other areas around the country! Keep it in London and let all the numpty's who want to go and watch it throw their money away down there. Suppose there will be some on here who will have a pop at me by saying its not about the football its about the experience of going and meeting up with like minded people and having a good time!!! About time ITV gave up broadcasting their games and put something interesting and enjoyable on instead that would entertain me cos its taking up a tv slot that could be put to good use - although being ITV, perhaps not.

Iam in your camp on this one as I have never watched England at wembley all throu my close on 25 years of watching them all over the European circuit.

When I 1st started to watch England cash was harder to come by back then for me ,so I never wasted my income on games at wrmbley and saved my coin  and holidays from work for all away games.

It's a sad state of affairs but even the most patriotic, ardent England fans have accepted we're a poor international team and there appears to be no light at the end of the tunnel.

Does anyone 'look forward' to an England match anymore? Maybe like me, it's on tv so I'll watch it.

If it was all about the standard and quality of football we would have all stopped watching Doncaster Rovers many, many years ago.

To call England fans numptys because they go and support the national team must say quite a lot about DRFC supporters as well. Of course it's about loyalty to whatever team you support, it's about tradition too, and with England it's also about camaraderie. Last night at Doncaster airport there were hundreds of England fans, and amongst them a good few DRFC fans all making there way to Lithuania for Sunday's game.

We know England are rubbish. We know it better than most. But that won't stop the England end being sold out in Vilnius tomorrow night.

If we go to the World Cup and play like that and win every game by 1-0 in the 90th min including the final would anyone really care. Surely it’s all about winning

No its not only about winning - its about entertainment, enjoyment and having a pride in the team that represent you. Our lot are an embarrassment. And while there is every chance that they will play like that in every game there isn't a hope in hell that they are gonna win against proper teams.

Loyalty, tradition and camaraderie are no alternative for the quality of football being served up and its numpty's like you who ensure the preservation of the system that gives us the product that we have to endure. So thank you SM. Go and enjoy your little adventure.

It is all about winning.
We played really well against Shrewsbury and lost.
We played nowhere near that level against Southend and won.
Which did you prefer arksey and how did you feel after each game?
