DRFC given gold standard EFL fans engagement award.

Right there's always something for others to mention and here's mine.
DONNY ROVERS ... yeah that's OUR club are only one of ten in the EFL to get the gold award.
I'm proud to be a very small part of this club with the supporters board. We are SO far ahead of other so called bigger clubs close to us in terms of fan engagement and interaction it's unreal.
Well done to one and all.
Let's get the building blocks in place and we go from there.

I must say I'm shocked that nobody has commented on this. We have all agreed that the club needs to grow the supporter base and ensure we have younger fans to take our place, and this is how it's done. We are one of only a handful of clubs to win the EFL Family Excellence Award since its inception 11 years ago. It's extremely hard work and the margins are extremely narrow, you don't get a tag entitled 'Excellence' if it isn't.

If you give this a bit more thought then a child who was 7 when this project started is now 18 years of age. That's them currently becoming adults and ready to take their place alongside us on the 'terraces'. My two nephews, who we've dragged along since they were bairns, are part of this generational shift as they are now 18 years of age. Just take a look at the teenagers that frequent the Keepmoat these days, they are rapidly becoming our future DRFC supporters. Well done Rovers!

The most disappointing thing about our first stay in the Championship was how many jumped ship after that first season.
I really felt that the fan base was really taking off and there were lots of fans coming through to take the baton from us older long serving supporters.
I think that the directors got it wrong when they hiked prices so much in our second season there but as the ones subsidising the team it was their call.
Hopefully we are now building a solid foundation, well done to all involved.
