Marqios is also nearly 2 and a half years older. Based on Marriott's value Marquis is probably £2M-£2.5M.

Yeah I would say in the current market 1.5-1.8 million would be about right for him. If he has a good season this season and scores 20+ then his value will rise about 2 million you would have thought

I think if anybody came in with a cash bid of over a million it would be hard for the club to turn down. If I was in charge I’d hope for closer to £1.5m.

Less than £2m is being disrespectful to JM. If Marriott is worth £5m, then big John has got to be worth getting on for £3m. Anything less and any potential suitor can go and swivel.

I think James husband was the last player we actually sold and that was over 4 years ago so a lot has changed since then... we don’t have to sell unlike we did then so the days of selling players on the cheap you would think are over
