I've just dug up an interesting article on the 14-0 defeat for Wednesdays. Apparently they were short of players due to injuries, and had to send the youth team; this angered the Alfreton manager, as he regarded it as no test for his team, which caused a war of words between him and Gary Megson; no surprise there then.
