I am expecting a reaction and to play with pride, and give the travelling fans something to be proud of.
It is about personal pride, the thing that was missing on Tuesday.
The whole team bar a couple of players deserve the criticism they got after the game, they did not perform to the standard required, and that we all know they are capable of, they are individually and as a team capable of much better than that despite other more established players not on the field.
This is a big game, I expect us to be up for it, and to  approach the game the game differently, we are a good side, when we play well we can match anyone in this division, although I  have slated some players from Tuesdays game, they are much better than that and new players need to have time to bed in.
It is a game I am looking forward to, and do not fear at all, if we play well we have a very good chance of surprising them on their own ground.
Lets hope we have a little luck and get a good performance and result.

I am hoping that the Scunny performance will not have been a blip. That Team turned up and roasted the "old" Iron so easily and could have ended winning 0-6

That performance tempted me to Burton to watch live instead of agonising watchinh SSN with Jeff Stelling - and IT also it colours my judgement still !

Its why I predicted 3-0 v Blackpool in one Comp and WIN in another as I thought we would play the "implied" strong team and I thought if that Scunny performance was only half produced it would see any Team off

Unfortunately the starters were much different and I am now wondering if I remembered that Scunny Game with too many roses colouring my glasses - and fearful that I did or it WAS a blip I cant see us winning at Posh and I have reluctantly said LOSE - though I want to be wrong and I want 3 Points and Rovers to progress onwards and upwards.

Come back Scunny performance - its in there somewhere surely ?

We're not scoring, so we don't need many against us to equal a defeat!

I can't see us doing anything on Saturday and the way things are going, form wise, we are due a hammering. However, it's still 11 v 11, so we live in hope (more so than expectation, unfortunately).
We should be able to relax in that case in the knowledge that there wasn’t any expectations and the pressure to keep a wining run going is on them . 2-2

Not won at Peterborough in 7 years, and not beat them in the last 7 encounters.

In my musings about Portsmouth last week I did say that it was possibly the hardest  seven day fixture list of the season, and so it seems to be proving.
A credible draw against Portsmouth was followed by a poor performance against our Keepmoat jinx team Blackpool.
Now we come up against a team we rarely beat away from home.
There is not much confidence being shown by our supporters who are at present on a downer, which has replaced over confidence in some people.
If Peterborough allow us to play well they are in for one of their hardest games of the season, taking the chances presented to us the key to a good result, we are capable of winning, lets  hope we do.

Lot's of negativity by some of our supporters on threads  on this forum, I hope and think they could be wrong, and not long now to see if we are a better team than some on the forum think.
Perhaps they would be better watching the test match,or would they?
The team will be interesting, the bench as important now as the starting line up. We have not done that well there over the last few visits, the biggest tonking coming when Fergie went back for the first time, I hope Grant has better luck.
I am hoping for the best, am looking forward to it, and if we are on our game, despite the doomsayers we are very capable of getting something from the game, let's hope we do.

Selby, you have referred to 'hope' or 'hoping' three times in that posting, which underlines what everyone is thinking - we all 'hope' for the best, but fear and expect the worst!

Alan, my hope, and saying if we play well we can match them, was a lot nearer than the 4-0 you predicted on another thread.
That game was everything I wanted after Tuesday, Pride effort and no little skill, the best display for a long time, and please put to bed your theory about Coppinger not able to play 90 minutes, he wa pulling the strings right until the last kick with Kane, who once again was brilliant, as all the team were.
   how did Mandeville do?

I didn’t think that we’d get thumped as it’s harder to keep a run going in front of your own crowed against a team like Rovers when their organised and play football . The Posh learned today how they are not as good as they thought they were . We learned that if you don’t take your chances draws are likely to be the outcome . Ruthless takes time and we’ve got 40 odd games to get better at it .

Really enjoyed watching that (on I player) it's so much better watching this season than last. The commentary was good today...the comments about Evan and Raynor brilliant...you're not gonna get that in MOTD

There are quite a few people who have made themselves look very stupid ( and I am trying to be polite by saying stupid ) on here with their pre match comments.
Apart from the fact we have only scored 1 goal today that was the complete performance from the Rovers today. 4-1 would have been a fair reflection of the game.
We have set the bar very high now and if we can stay clear of injuries then anything is possible this season.
Every one of our players was brilliant today except poor old Marco as he had virtually nothing to do.
Man of the match for Peterborough was Marco’s opposite number.
This is as I keep repeating going to ce an exciting and entertaining season.
Onwards and upwards.

For those who did not go, you missed a great game of football, when every player played well for us, The midfield players giving the best display since the Stock, Wellens era, praise indeed.
Wright being out I presume injured, allowed Anderson to come in and prove what a good player he is, and the team performance proved inspirational to the  travelling supporters, who got right behind the team, and also gave a great account of themselves, no trouble, good humour, and as noisy as hell at times willing the teams efforts on, a very well done to everyone.
Can we have more of this please, play like that on a regular basis and we will not be far away, create an atmosphere like the supporters did today, and it will not be long before others will be happy to come to the games.
An all round great day out, the result could, and possibly should have been better, but the standard has been set now, let's try and maintain it.

Wright turned his ankle in training. Nothing too serious.
