Doubtful for Saturday's game against Luton, and with Amos injured it looks like being a square peg in a round hole at left back for this game.

That’s frustrating. Probably switch Mason to left back and play Blair right back.

Could depend how Lund plays if selected tonight. I’m not his biggest fan but if mason does move to left back, it would be better having an actual right back at right back rather than a winger.

Agreed totally. Let’s not go back to last seasons square pegs in round holes please.

Let’s hope it’s not a long term injury for either Andrew or Amos. We don’t want to take the good right back to play left w e will spoil two postions as we had to do last year.

Agreed, would rather have Lund at right back than Blair. Hopefully he'll get a run out there tonight.

I’d be tempted to go with Rowe at left back - at least he’s left footed. And arguably we have more options in midfield to replace Rowe in Jermaine Anderson and Matty Blair.

None of the solutions are ideal. But as many players as we can keep in their best positions the better. Mason has been superb at right back.

Hmm. Like has been said, would be reluctant to shift Mason but the  options may be limited unless he “yes boss, I can do that! “ I wonder who'll play there tonight.

Interesting.

This is exactly the same conundrum that DF faced most of last season. Let’s hope DA is ok for Saturday!

It could be argued that Ferguson had the option to deploy Amos for much of that time, but loaned him out instead and only called on him once the season was over.

Losing both at the same time is a blow.

Equally, it could also be argued that the loan helped Amos become the player he is to date!

I'd go for Rowe too. With our fullbacks needing to get forward and produce playing Mason whose not so good at left back would be a big hit to the way we want to play, also Lund at right back would be a negative he's not good enough going forward. We've replacements in midfield for Rowe in a way we didn't last year

You can never have enough small midfielders?

No sod's law about it; GM decided to risk key first team players in a piss poor tinpot competition, when we already have Andrew and Amos doubtful for Saturday. Now it looks like another 2 will be unavailable; ridiculous.

Well he had to play Lund so it's only 1 extra in Rowe, still bad i know. I'd of done the same as GM but why couldn't the new lad Anderson of come in surely it's a good game for him with slightly less pressure

Which other two Rowe may be Lund for me what I saw tonight is not fit enough or good enough for a first team player.

Mason will have to just play at left back and right back simultaneously. Sure he can do a good job.

Reece Wabara used to do it, albeit this wasn't what he was supposed to be doing.
