At half time the Charlton half time announcer fella was doing his bit with the locals ,half time crossbar challenge, a Charlton supporter who had just clocked up a 1000 consecutive matches, half time scores etc . He also did the usual birthday congratulations including one for a person called Ben Meaover, and in the Addicks Personals section of the program his name appears.
Someone is either having a laugh for a bet , or some poor sod has been christened this by horrible parents.
I think it’s the first option

.... and we should have known what was coming because "1000 consecutive Games man" also watched them win at the 250 Stage AND 500 Stage - so we could have guessed !

I remember one afternoon at a Test Match at Edgbaston in the 1980s. There were a succession of announcements involving strangely named individuals including a Mr. Mike Hunt and Mr. Hugh Jarce. I think someone was having a bit of fun...  :lol:
