That winning feeling
« on December 23, 2018, 03:01:23 pm by Chris Black come back »
We are at exactly the half way point in League One this season. So far we have won 11 games in League One.

Compare this to the number of wins in the league in the ENTIRE season in recent years:

2017/18 in League One: 13
2016/17 in League Two: 25
2015/16 in League One: 11
2014/15 in League One: 16
2013/14 in Championship: 11
2012/13 in League One: 25
2011/12 in Championship: 8
2010/11 in Championship: 11
2009/10 in Championship: 15
2008/9 in Championship: 17
2007/8 in League One: 23
2006/7 in League One: 16
2005/6 in League One: 20

Ignoring the League Two season given we were obviously mismatched, the surprising aspect of this is that our two League One promotion seasons involved a number of wins that would require our second half of this season to be even better than our first half, to get near matching. Surprising as I thought we were doing extremely well with wins so far.

Makes sense though, considering 11 wins to date this season is good enough for us to be around the Play Off positions, and still some way shy of the top 2/3, which is where we finished in those previous promotion seasons at this level.
