The 800k game
« on January 26, 2019, 09:45:00 pm by Copps is Magic »
Someone raised an interesting scenario in the other thread. Wimbledon have just this minute gone through. Let's presume Portsmouth and Shrewsbury don't get through their respestive away ties against higher opposition.

We draw Wimbledon at home.

It's a potential 800k game for the winner isn't it?

250k highest league one team bonus
360k prize money
100k TV money (let's be optimistic and say we're on somewhere)
50-90k gate receipts and match revenue

800k

+ the potential for another payday in the next round.

You could say its a £1m or £1.5m game when you throw in the next round so its massive. I think any game involving Wimbledon will be on telly now too so wouldn't be a bad draw (at home) imo
